What's the deal with these guys storing their bitcoin on a hard drive and then throwing the hard drive away? Can someone explain?

#564WTF is incent?
On coinmarketcap it currently has the #2 market cap. It was basically worthless, trading for pennies until 2:55PM yesterday when it rose to $1.78 in 5 minutes and 5 minutes later 1 incent was worth $3570. It has been stable over the last 24 hours. The incent website claims it is some sort of reward system for being digitally tracked.
Anyone have any idea what is going on?Comment -

#570They did this back in 2012, 2013 when bitcoin was cheap and there was no infrustructure to store your bitcoin like now. Bitcoin was mined with with personal computers back then.Comment -

#576Look for a small cap alt. 1000x is realistic for a couple of these coins if the bull run continues. The last bull run some of the privacy coins made crazy gains such as XMR and DASH.Last edited by raiders72001; 01-18-21, 03:39 AM.Comment -

#579I'd stay far away from XRP. SEC lawsuit against them. I bought XRP day 1. Sold most in 2013, but still hold a lot in a wallet that I can't find. Almost everyone that was buying in 2013 or earlier has lost wallets.Last edited by raiders72001; 01-18-21, 04:01 AM.Comment -

#581BT-Coin reminds me of that game show deal or no deal. If somebody told them they could just have $90K
and not even play the game, then 95% of them would take it immediately. But then they get on the game
and turn down the same $90K or even more once they win it!
Same with BT-C. If somebody had told people just a year ago that BT-C would be above $30K,
or hell even $25K, then 95% of the people would have said they'd take it!
But then when the price comes, they sit there and hold the shit wildly hoping for more instead of hitting
the damn sell button and taking the huge gain!Comment -

2016 election price of btc $700
2020 election price of btc $13,000
so by your logic all those people in at $10 should've sold somewhere around $50? or should they have waited and dumped it at 700 lolComment -

#587Hope to resume the ATH challenges in coming days. Wanted the current BtC price to get closer to the ATH. I don't know about others, but my sentiment is that this thing doesn't have huge downside risk right now. Too much interest on people who want to get in. Just my two cents.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -

#588Chucky, do you see much worth in buying and selling these 2-3k dips like Milwaukee is doing? I mean if we have a bull market for the foreseeable future, these fluctuations are just going to keep happening.Last edited by killawookie; 01-18-21, 08:25 PM.Comment -

#590Ethereum is seeing rapid growth fueled by DeFi sentiment
DeFi tokens have been surging rapidly as of late, led by majors such as Aave and SushiSwap, as Cointelegraph reported.
The rally of DeFi tokens is partly fueled by the fast-growing total value locked (TVL) of the DeFi market, which estimates the amount of capital deployed to DeFi protocols.
At over $24 billion, there is more capital locked across DeFi protocols than ever before, which signals massive demand. This is crucial for the momentum of Ethereum — and consequently its Ether token — because more and more apps and tokens rely on its network.Comment -

#591ETH close to ATH.
Ethereum's daily transaction volume is going parabolic.
It now settles $12 billion in transactions daily - $3 billion more than Bitcoin.
Imagine not being bullish $ETH. pic.twitter.com/3NfOz1ruiM

#594I bought some 4.2 ETH around Jan or Feb '18 @ $915. Cost me $4K. It went downhill fast after that. Didn't think it was ever going to hit $915 again. I spent the rest of the year and into 2019 trying to buy my way out, bring that cost average down. I remember I bought some $88 ETH in December '18. Cost a lot of money to get the average down to about $200. Looks like it is going to pay off.... It's possible it could double from where it is now in the coming months....Last edited by Arky; 01-19-21, 11:06 AM.Comment -

#595In watching crypto videos, I came across thing to where u can Bet on the Bitcoin price:*
*Appeared on a site called Deribit (which blocks Americans).
According to recent betting, the Median target for 12/31/2021 price = about 44,000. That's according to the betting mkt, if u put any stock in that.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment
