#356Originally posted by littlekonawas it standard or priority....when I do standard ones I only do when I don't need asap cause I have had few that take 2/3 days to conform...Priority ones I have done for the 1 mBTC have been confirming within few hours...Just pay the extra .5 and get them conformed faster....BTC miners feees are still high it sucks! 1mBTC for priority is worth it
It's total bullsh#$. Don't group my PO's with others. If they were honest... and you added everyone's fee that they paid.... Christ... we would of all had our Bitcoins confirmed by now.
Who wouldn't be outraged by this? If you want everyone to do business with your book... don't be cheap with the fees. I'm paying the damn 0.5 up front. I shouldn't even have to do that.
27 hours now... still unconfirmed.
Right when I did the math with the fees involved... and the byte size... I said.. "You gotta be kidding me". Wasn't even close to a respectable amount. Totally fukked over now.Comment -

#357Originally posted by TheMoneyShotNot paying the extra 0.5 mBTC because they made the call to increase everything. How about not grouping my PO's with other clients? My PO would of been confirmed within 3 hours if they didn't group mine with others on the low rate. How do I know? Because I sent Bitcoins with an $8.00 fee the same time I requested a PO once I figured there's no way it would of been confirmed in time.

When you batch payments together each extra receiver adds just 32 bytes to the tx size, so your personal part of the tx only needs about 600 satoshi fee.
The batched/grouped send method should make no difference to the confirmation time.
I agree books should give users the option to pay for a priority send if they want to cover high fees themselves though..Comment -

#359here is one I requested late last night was sent out instant confirmed about an hour ago
Now I was a little upset like moneyshot was with the fee being low 119.027 sat/B so I asked them about it and got this as a response to why the fee was low IMO.... "Fees are no longer measured per byte but per weight unit. As we use native SegWit we have to pay less fees per kb. " So it took maybe 12 hours or so to confirm but it did...I do think they should bump up the fee a tad to at least 300sat/b but I do not have a great understanding of segwit and how it lowers the fees ect.....So all in all I wish it was a bit quicker to confirm but with how the BTC network has been the last month I a satisfied with the timeComment -

There are non-native segwit wallets as well, but they use a 'hack' to stay compatible both ways that means the fee saving isn't as much.
The fees are only lower as the byte size is lower, but only when sending from and to a segwit compatible wallet.
Made a thread about this as still trying to get my head around it fully..Comment -

I have no problem if Heritage or 5Dimes did this to me.... because of the Free PO's. But when I'm paying a fee for this??? That's shady of fairlay to do.
The rule is 0.5 mBTC... and that's fair enough in regards to price. But if my PO was sent out solo with that fee... I would of had it around 5-7 hours or so easily.
And if fairlay used everyone's 0.5 mBTC for 3 clients... sh#$... we would of probably had it in 30 minutes to 60 minutes.
Regardless, I'm done talking about this. Chalk it up... lesson learned.Comment -

Yes Optional. I get all that. My point is.... let's say for example fairlay grouped 3 payouts together. Each client paid around $7.25 to get their money. Well... that's around $21.75 that Fairlay could of used to pay for extra miner's fees. But they didn't. They used around $9.50 to group payouts together. Byte size was around 725 or so. They pocketed the rest.. apparently?

#363Currently waiting on a cash out... They say under 5 Bitcoin is usually instantaneous... I am on 5 hours and funds haven't even come out of my account... Now I understand it's still not bad for 5 hours, but the way my deposit went with them taking 3 days to credit is making this withdrawal my last interaction with them... They might not be a bad thing, but they have been horrible with the crediting of deposits and now I am concerned about everything involving them...Comment -

"As you said, you were kinda unlucky both times as the RPC calls timed out (you are the only user this affected, all other withdrawals and deposits worked on ETH yesterday), a fix was applied after the second time it failed. Please try again, all funds were returned on the unsuccessful tries."
Expected no less... Btw, hour and a half on the 3rd attempt with no transactions on the network waiting confirmation... Instant my ass...Comment -

#378It's bad enough that we are giving up our rights and freedoms to governments. Allowing a sports book to confiscate money by representing the law is overboard. There are some great videos by Andreas Antonopoulus that address bitcoin and freedom rights.Comment -

#380Originally posted by littlekonaJust because its bitcoin does not mean its wild west and anything goes....It's specific in there T&C's that they can request a KYC( Nitrogen has this too listed and can ask at any time for a KYC) plus it says it can freeze funds until KYC is met if they suspect any money laundering or criminal activity....Now if Senor BETG complied to the reasonable request they made due to his activity there and they did not pay him or if it was not it the terms it would be a different story....Now due to the fact I am open minded I would not give Fairlay an A grade as I would of earlier due to the issues with the ETHER deposit and withdrawal issues that some players have had along with some payouts that went out w a low fees....Everyone's issues did get fixed but for the inconvenience I'd drop them down to a bit and if I where SBR i would get them a rating so we can officially track since many many peeps here use....Start them at a B- or C+ document good/bad so we have on record and they can move up and down like all listed on SBR....That is fair is it not
Send betg, or anyone else here, your name, address, phone number and video of yourself so that they can send that information to the authorities and accuse you of tax evasion and money laundering. You wouldn't send that information to anyone here and if you did, it would be false information.

But it's tough to compare this to that situation anyway. Fairlay is not subject to the same rules regarding KYC/AML under their CR registration.
But I do agree with LittleKona that using bitcoin is not a license to think players are not subject to normal player management or reasonable rules. Which require ID sometimes.
You two should not argue though. The book sounds like they have decided to be unreasonable in this case but so does the player. Leave them to do the fighting. BetG can keep making his posts. He's not being over the top. And Fairlay deserve to reminded of their actions..Comment -
