Just curious... are you leaving Fairlay because of the poor Live Wagering platform?? Or additional issues/concerns? Thanks.

I left because I basically couldn't get a bet in. I was trying to bet on live soccer matches and when I clicked "submit" or whatever it said, there would be a delay and then the bet would not get matched for whatever reason and then the entire market would disappear. Pretty frustrating and definitely a red flag. It got to a point where I might get 1-2 bets in for every 10 I tried.

So I went to Betcoin. I haven't been betting much lately but it's been fine so far. I don't love the setup but it's pretty simple. I'd go back to Fairlay if I thought they got their shit together. You have one penetrating job over there and it's to take bets, and they couldn't come close to getting that right. Maybe it's better now.

No other issues. I did make prematch bets during football season and everything was fine. I think the problem was limited to live bets.

It's not worth it. People will start leaving. Fairlay should of kept everything the same.

If the 0.25% fees will mean they can afford to have a more stable website I am all for it, but can't get a bet in right now before Cavs game. I've just become used to their website issues at this point.

IMO Fairlay operates like a regular book. I'm sure the owner takes in a massive profit when Public plays lose. Guy is already making a killing. Not a big fan of the nickel and dime stuff.

I also didn't like the new rule about... holding onto your highest wager won for 24 hours until you can request a PO.

When I see a website using more restrictions... it turns me off... rather go back to Heritage... 5Dimes and other books.

That reserve fund rule is easy to get around just make smaller wagers multiple times...I’m not sure how it even works as I only get a tiny fraction of bet win held and only on occasion.....a big player scammed them for many btc after a missgrade he withdrawls all funds and never came back that’s why they put in....i just can not give my bigger action on straight plays to standard books...Fairlay betfair matchbook odds are just so much better

Nickel and dime? Ever since the site began they said it was only “free” while in beta. That they would eventually charge was always my understanding and I’ve been playing there since the beginning. 0.25% sounds like it could have been a lot worse considering I get 5% and up better odds there especially with tennis and moneyline bets.
also ..Who cares if they put a restriction to protect themselves from getting fleeced by a scammer? It’s as much to protect you and the ability to allow you the best INSTANT withdraws anywhere... maybe ever? In the history of offshore. If you don’t have the funds to keep at a couple books and not blow out your bankroll each night then you need to stop gambling. Honestly I’ve been there but some times what’s so wrong with taking a night off here and there. I kinda like that I can’t get drunk and blow my account balance after a big win lol.

I've been using Fairay quite a bit, but it is frustrating. I'll find some odds I like, click on place, then OK to confirm. Then I get "Order had no matches and it was cancelled". That happens about half the time. Why is this happening?

It happened to me for about 3 days or so on and off last weekend I could not get many horse wagers to match it kept saying 0 matched like it thought it actually matched but did not or odds disappareared...Support said it was due to some sort of bug with API and site and should be fixed....I played yesterday and it was fine but today I got a few with same issue too...Support says they are looking at it again..Hope they fix cause when its running right its one of the best "exchanges"

They are not a book, they are basically a broker, so I'm guessing someone before posted those odds which got filled but the line stayed up and still taking orders to see if they match.

Fairlay had some problems starting Friday May 4 last week with markets appearing to be liquid, but orders would not "match" when attempting to be placed. It went on into Saturday, then some sporadic success in matching orders.

Then after Monday, the support chat made some brief acknowledgment of the problem that Kona mentioned with the API bug. All seems to be working now for the past couple days. It was very frustrating how the problem occurred during the weekend.

Fairlay has it's problem, but damn there is nothing better than being able to hit withdraw and have your money in 10 seconds. I love that place (when it's functioning).

The one real gripe I have is the Support chatbox they do not respond quickly or consistently at all.

Everyone was typing in the chatbox about how the orders werent matching on and on, then Support / Admin didn't even respond for days. Also I noticed one time Admin typed something but didn't directly acknowledge all the problems matching orders. Frustrating.

I'm the type to be patient and just play at a secondary book if I have to for days. But probably most people have nowhere near the patience for that when it comes to playing at a book.

No you're not going to get red carpet treatment at Fairlay but who cares. Service isn't free. If they had 24/7 support and yad yada yada they wouldn't be able to pass along these great odds to the customer.

Also if they are having issues use another book. It takes on average 10 minutes (1 confirmation) to move your funds from Fairlay to another book if you aren't already funded elsewhere.

Also it wasn't "days" for them to respond. I saw the chat too it was the same day they responded. I've had issues in the past I had to e-mail them about and always got a response within 1-4 hours

Pharaoh, if you go back and look at the chatbox, it goes back several days as you know. The Support Admin certainly didn't acknowledge or give any answer about the orders not matching for several days. To me, it looked like they either weren't reading the messages, or didn't realize the problem....this was right around the time they announced the commission fees. So at first I thought something wasn't ready with the implementation of the fees, but then it went on for the better part of a week.

I really like playing there too, and I'm very patient. But let's be objective. I log in to Fairly every day and saw exactly what I described.

Always use the support chat on right side instead of public troll box for specific issues...they respond promptly that way from my experiences....also on the issues its some bug with certain marketmakers and api...i found that one horse market maket had issues with matching and other did not...part of it is that the pro market makers use api scripts tied into other sites too like betfair and matchbook and something is off... from support email i got they know the issues now and are fixing...they have had issues going on and off but hopefully they get straight as when its running right its the top btc place to play at by far and right up there with betfair

I did use the right-hand side of Support chat when the order matching issues were happening, and they have still never answered it! ...... This would bother a lot of players.

Like I said I'm patient so just waited it out, but seeing as how we have this thread to discuss the book, my comments are factual and objective.

Currently my orders all being matched and graded for the past several days again now with zero issues.

Update - Monday May 14

after I said markets and orders have been working fine the past several days, now today the site has very limited markets available. I was able to match a couple orders that I placed today, however not all the options they normally have open are there today.

Support said in chatbox they ARE aware of the issue and working to fix it currently.

Update - Tuesday May 15

all markets are back as normal, with tons of options and liquidity. My order matched instantly.

Support made a quick comment in the Chatbox from early this morning that the markets were fixed, and apologized for the inconvenience.

Let's hope it lasts more than a week!

Fair for them to do. But, it changes the odds slightly. I'll have to make adjustments mentally and suspect they'll lose a few wagers to Nitrogen or others.

Also what is the difference between bech32 and segwit? What is that? Also they way y'all are talking about fairlay makes wonder. I primarily want to wager on premarket tennis and the odds are so much better than any other site thanks

I always use the segwit address never a issue....takes some time to figure out and get used to site but it is one of the best esp for odds and fast withdrawals....one tip I always enter team i want to bet in search bar and then filter it is much easier at least for me

You don't really want to know the details of the difference. But Bench32 is a newer format. You won't be using it or you would know.

It just means create a new receive address for deposits. It's to give you the option to remain more anonymous and tougher to track your transactions if you use a different deposit address each time.

Min is .1 mbtc
predetermined number? i think you are talking about about how much mbtc the market maker has at that price offering...one thing I have noticed is even if say they have 50mbtc listed if you wager 50mbtc and take all in a few moments after more will open up....sometimes at that price sometimes not

The number was referring to is where you put your wager. It is always defaulted and highlighted in blue to mBTC 3.28. It doesn't matter which sport or market I look at it is always at 3.28mbtc and then I have to change it. Does anyone know its set to specific number? Thanks yall

Is withdrawls still fast? I just placed a wager on a isreal baseketball game commsion for it was .1% insted of 0.25% so bascilly nothing n dont wana go to bak to nitro
