#179Fairlay has been working as normal again now for the past few days. So they've cleared the issues they were having with the Market Makers and orders not being "matched". I've even tried a handful of small Live orders in different sports such as NBA, CBB, NHL just to test and all have been working fine with plenty of liquidity.Comment -

#183I just logged on into the old site after I read your post. Something is really screwed up on that site. My available balance changed... and said I had pending predictions. (Which isn't true.... nothing should be pending.) I refreshed the new site... and my balance was fine.

#184Fairlay has an excellent variety of MLB Baseball lines, with tons of liquidity.
They'll take action more than 1 BTC (1000+ mBTC) on a moneyline for game winner.
Totals about 0.5 BTC, also there are multiple Totals listed (eg. Over 8 runs, Over 7.5 runs, etc)Comment -

#185Just a FYI they implemented a reserved fund rule see #40 in FAQ https://fairlay.com/faq/#reserved-funds
since I do many smaller wagers esp on horses it doesn’t effect me much but if you like to bet whole bankroll and then parlay before 24 hours it will....one dude ruined it by taking advantage of a misgrade and cashing out a hefty sum is what I heard in chat so for now they implemented this...This is fluid and they said they are looking for a better solution but for now it is in effect....withdrawals still instant as usual for avail funds...Comment -

#187Bitcoin Prediction Market Fairlay Sees Sizable Volumes
There are a few projects in the works hoping to build decentralised prediction markets, with projects like Augur and Hivemind. One particular project, although not fully 'trust-less' at the moment, Fairlay, has been moving a staggering amount of volume over the past few months with over 100 to 150 BTC per day at times.Comment -

#196How do you deal with the fluctuations of btc? Do y’all just deposit and withdraw constantly or keep it the acct? I’ve deposited in btc before but never kept in btc. That’s my worry but otherwise the fairlay’s markets are some of the best I’ve seen in the USComment -

#197Right now I don’t think you have to much to worry with price being down and stablizing...it might fluctuate daily a tad but most of time evens out...just have yourself set up so you can withdrawl and cash out fast through an exchange like coinbase or bitpay card just in case u want to cash out quick....withdrawals at fairlay are pretty much instant in most casesComment -

#198And when I mean I’ve used btc I used it one time in January for a deposit. I used either bread wallet or exodus(can’t remember
). The issue I had was the network fees. One hit from Coinbase to exodus and then another miner fee from exodus/bread wallet to the book. Then when I withdrew it was the same amount of fees in reverseComment -

Fairlay is a HUGE ADVANTAGE for someone who likes to wager in BTC ONLY and not worried about the ups and downs.
Good luck.Comment -

#201No as it is an exchange and none do....what i suggest you do is have one withdrawal address( They allow multiple ones) linked with your Nitrogen Account and when you want to parlay or play poker just withdrawal back and forth un BTC...Thats what I doComment -

#202Ok so I've been comparing the odds on tennis with other books and Fairlay is beating all the US books. Both in odds and availability of matches. Again Ive deposited once using btc in bovada acct. Will this be any different also which coin is better btc, eth, or anything else. How do I figure miners fees. Say I buy $500 to $1000 how much will deducting in fees going from exchange and wallet and then to fairlay? TiaComment -

#204with btc trending higher ive been using Fairlay more of late...The new policy of reserve funds hold though I cant seem to figure as only a tiny portion of my win bets are held...Plus if you size your bets into a few smaller ones it is a way to kinda get around it too. So it really has not effected me very much at all....Anyone else experience this??

"the amount (stake * odds) of the largest market settlement of the last 24 hours is not available for betting, transfer or withdraw. This means that you can only withdraw your entire bankroll if 24 hours since your last settlement have passed. Only the largest settlement is considered, other settlements have no influence on your available funds."
What this means if you're the type of player who makes a deposit to wager it "all-in" on a single event, assuming you win, there will be a 24-delay/hold before it is available to withdraw. This annoys some people, being that it's a bitcoin-only book.
It doesn't bother me, because I'm a grinder style player. In fact, still having not reached my goal, I haven't ever requested a payout yet with Fairlay. Haven't deposited other than the first time, either. Will say that grading events is timely and no mistakes.Comment -

#208Yes, the portion of previous winning wagers held for 24-hours:

#209Kona, honestly I haven't figured out exactly how the "held" amount works on my account because same as you, I have multiple wagers per day. Just like what you said, the amount being held appears to always some fraction of my winning wagers. Couldn't figure out if it's on a time-release every hour or what....didn't look into it deeply. But as I stated in previous post, I assume if it was ONE all-in winning wager, it would probably be held in-full for 24-hours (just guessing that).Comment -
