Should be another classic series between these two teams. Hopefully my Yanks can sweep the Sox and make up some ground in the AL East!

I think the Devil Rays have some kind of curse on the Yanks.

Wells is the kind of pitcher the Yankees hammer when they are patient at the plate, which they have been lately. Small has been as good as anyone for the Yankees, and if the game is tied or the Yankees are winning after six innings, the Yankees become a huge favorite.

In game 2 I like Chacon over Schilling, and then in game 3, Wakefield over Johnson.

                        Schilling will be crappy again.

I will be putting my money on Chacon in this one.

Even as a Yankees fan and hater of the Red Sox, it seems like Schilling is making strides. Still, I can't logically recommend taking him at that small price against the solid Chacon and a desperate Yankees team, that as I said earlier in this thread, is really showing patience at the plate.

I would desperately want the Yankees to win anyways, but even more so tomorrow, so that I can take the Red Sox in the finale.

Red Sox are going to need a healthy Schilling to go deep in the playoffs, he has improved from game to game and may finally have his strength and movement back

Yanks take two of three, but have to face their biggest nightmare in the Devil Rays ahead. Hate both teams, but I think one of the two will represent the AL in the world series (not a very bold statement)

Yep the Sox still lead by three but I wouldn't feel safe even if it was 10 games! Tough game today...wish it was televised here but watching online was pretty good. The nice thing is that Cleveland is beating the snot out of Minnesota which obviously helps the Sox indirectly.

Since starting 11-19, they have the second best record in baseball (Cardinals).
