Went out last night so gotta work on the card fast and furious. No writeups but will discuss plays later if you like. Good luck today.

Lta, AJ has had a renaissance season of sorts.
I like this under, However there is a 40 percent chance
of rain in Pittsburgh, scattered thunderstorms,
and we know that Cubs pen. I will have to pass.

Good luck. It's only 30% and if you check the predictive radar, it's just scattered showers not storms and the pattern does not seem to hit the ballpark. Anyway, I'm not too worried about it. Both pitchers are innings-eaters and as long as we don't see a rain delay during the game, then I do not anticipate too much bullpen risk in this game. I expect both guys to pitch around 7 innings tonight. GL
EDIT: up to 7 now....I have this game set at 5.01 so I might have to go bigger and risk the rain.
There is value on a lot of unders tonight, so this could be a crazy "sweat-it-out" type of night....it looks like tonight could be one of the bigger cards of the season to date.

loving the yankees play, LTA. if anyone else was planning on tailing it:
- the athletics average over a run lower against rightys (ivan nova) than leftys
- ivan nova's SIERA is over TWO full runs lower than his current ERA, so he is undervalued somewhat despite it being the yankees.
- the big one: the yankees won 44% of their road games by more than 1 run last year
hope i didnt go through all that just to jinx us all..

Looks like the "wind tunnel" effect might be in play tonight in Texas for those of you interested. If you were thinking about the under, keep track of the wind patters as the day moves on.

I know...up to +110.
I still think we are getting a nice price for Gomez considering Quintana really does not have any particular advantages in this game. The Indians have faced him before when he pitched out of the pen, so it's not like they don't know what to expect. I have the Indians set at -106 so I was happy to get the +101.
I probably would have waited on a few of these plays today, but I am off work today and we are leaving in a few hours to hit the beach with the baby. I want to get all of my plays in before I leave but will probably have to sacrifice the best price to do so. I will be interested in checking before game to see where some of these close. Good luck.

I like the Yankees and Tigers on -1 RL too, what do you think of the Reds -1? Cueto has made three starts at home this year and only allowed three total runs in those starts, Reds high on confidence won 6 in a row while so far Freidrich has faced some sub-par offenses like the Padres, Mariners and Giants, very inconsistent at the moment

I will pass on that one. Friedrich has performed pretty well, especially away from Colorado. His numbers are pretty solid so far and the Reds have never faced him. With that said, it's never a bad idea to look to back the Reds when they are facing a lefty. Good luck.

A lot of money hitting that Cards over....probably because of yesterday's score and Joe West behind the plate. However, yesterday had the wind howling straight out at 15 mph, while today the wind is blowing in at 10 mph from right. I hate Country Joe West when I like the under, but West tends to respect the upper echelon pitchers so hopefully he widens his zone for Lee a little bit and calls it that way for Lohse as well.

good thing you did cause now its at 7 juiced on the over
edit: disregard the comment. I think there is a public miss perception here driving this number up, so I will fade the public and roll with ya LTA.

I have these two pitchers ranked very similarly to each other. I don't see any value so I will pass. There is no confirmation about the roof as to being open or closed, so that will be something to keep an eye on. GL

Nothing but respect LTA, I always check-in at your blogsite prior to making my MLB wagers and appreciate you. Thanks as well for your insight into tonight's weather in Texas due to my fantasy baseball addiction! I have Morrow on the mound tonight but am leaning towards pitching red-hot Ervin Santana at Seattle.
I am a pretty good judge of character or whatnot, and I'm POSITIVE that you're about to enjoy this beach trip with your family. I send well-wishes and hope that you will be around SBR for years to come. Cheers my brother

I can see the move when I look at the Indians splits versus lefties. It would appear that their approach to hitting changes drastically. Gonna wait on the starting lineups for this one.

Wow, no kidding. I watched the game about a month ago when I think it was you Biff discussing the tunnel effect. It looked like I could hit a ball out to right center. After that I promised myself I wouldn't bet an under in Tex unless I had some solid info from one of you sharp guys.

No doubt...they rank top 6 versus righties, while middle of the pack against lefties. The question is how much you respect Quintana and how long you think he will last before giving way to the White Sox pen. I don't respect this 5+ SIERA and would be surprised if he goes beyond 5 innings. I like the Indians tonight. GL
