Why should anything point to Detroit being a good play? The Yankees are the better team. Better team pitching, better team offense, almost better everything. There's a reason why the Yankees are favored.

I rate verlander above cc and the offenses are not that far apart. Detroit has been the hotter team and they never give up. Getting +120 or more is good value for verlander. Should be interesting. This will be a close game either way....the yanks are not blowing the tigers out tonight. Good luck.

I know this will probably bring you know who out of the woodwork, but the other thing that concerns me is that Bodog is offering Detroit at +109 while Pinny has them at +123. That's a huge difference. Whenever you can get a dog at a 10-plus cent better price at a sharp book vs. a recreational one, that's usually a sign you shouldn't be on that dog in the first place.

Nothing is pointing to Detroit as a good play yet. Hate to say that because I'm on them as well.

It is common for baseball lines that pinny and 5d provides a better price on both the favorite and the dog than a bookmaker or bodog. I think you are starting to psyche yourself out a bit. The value is on detroit when you consider a slight edge in sp and similar strength of lineup. Yanks have a bp advantage, but hopefully verlander can throw a complete game or close thereto. I dont want to see that tigers bullpen

I stayed away from the Yankees/Detroit game. I am not sure if the weakness of the Tigers division is being taken into consideration. The Central was god awful this year. Its also always possible that they got hot too early..

This makes sense but I do think that if verlander plays solid then Detroit is the right side. The tigers knownthey need to get a W in new York so they wont be complacent.

Wilson should hold Tampa in check and I think the kid gives a solid 5 or 6 for Tampa, grabbed the under with you.

The price on the tigers has started to drop. It's funny how we go full circle sometimes. My first mlb play of this season from opening day was on the tigers...i lost in the 8th inning on a yankee comeback off phil cokehead. Let's hope for a better result today

Ha....I lost that one on opening day as well. I was Verlander's jinx in April and May. Tigers lost every time I played him....like 0-4. I got it at +120, considering buying it back as it edges down, torn at this point.

I agree that this game can go either way, If Verlander throws a complete game or close to it, than the Tigers will be in very good shape. Does anyone know what the season record between these two teams are? I'd look it up, but I am going to the gym.

Agreed, but Sabathia is one of the rare guys year after year who's HR/9 ratio remains constant and low. Like .7 per 9 over last 6 years .

True about the squeezage, but Moore's stuff is more forgiving.

Yup me too! Passed ball then Andrus couldn't make the play. Hard to say a losing play was a good one, but honestly if you knew Texas would have 0 runs through 8 and Wilson starting for them the o/u would have been 4 at the most. Dems the breaks.
