No Regular Plays today

Almost posted AZ/SF under when the line was 8 but has since went to 7.5

A lot going for the under but I just don't like the 7.5

I am splitting my play 1/2 @ 8.5 -105 and 1/2 @ 8 -130

Reasons:

1 Starters
2 Just missed the Reliever Play
3 Wind out to left 19 mph. Temp is a little lower than we prefer but the wind should hopefully make up for it.
4 Low Wind Density Index (good for over)
5 Though Bucknor (ump) is 6-0 to the under in the last 6 times behind home plate, he is a combined 17-3 to the over when these two teams play.
6 Combined 11-6 to the over so far this year.

DU46 is correct, the first post has a link to last years thread which will show how we did last season. I do not believe in "heating up". Every play stands on its own, not dependent on previous plays. Yes, there will be good streaks but also losing streaks, that's just the nature of this business. One can only hope through a lot of hard work that there will be more winners than losers when the season is over.

This is an important point. There is a such a thing as a momentum fallacy. Just because you flipped heads 10x in row, doesn't mean the odds of heads the 11th time is any greater than 50%.

Even though I know this, I fall prey to momentum fallacy anyway. This is where being disciplined and practicing bank management is key. I have to ignore my emotions and just look at my spreadsheet and see what 1% of my current bankroll is and just bet that on any given play. and that's it.

No Regular Plays today

We did like the under in the Philly/Wash game when it was 8 but now it's 7.5 so we are passing.

Note: Normally we will not have a Regular Play at the beginning of a series since the home plate umpire is not released until right before the game.
