I dont know who created this idea. I do know, awhile back someone pointed me to a forum where someone, who had been using this system more than this year, was tracking this sytem. I have been following his/her posts but this morning he/she said they were giving up the runline chase system....
i have been riding the system at 50 a pop but didnt chase this morning either and suppose i will just eat the loss. I am definitely not chasing tomorrow and we will see what happens come tuesday.Comment -
Give up Why ?????? Its has a proven record. Typical bettors once something starts getting a bit tough everyone jumps off ship.
Play it the way it was supposed to be played in the long-run you will win. 90 % of the wagers are + money so really if you need to go past 6 games even into 7 or 8 it would come out to be about a 4-5 True chase system.
No other system were you can find as much + money wagers as this one ???????Comment -
So I used SBRLines for this system and lost my "F" (more like FML) game and it took a nice chunk from me...not to mention the loss I took from the BouncedCheck 3 game chase system...luckily I used good bankroll management so I'm not jumping off a bridge yet. I seriously urge you guys who aren't using strict BR management to stop doing this chase, one loss basically kills a year's worth of profits, it's not worth it.
I'm not trying to tell you guys what to do with your money but most chase systems aren't successful for a reason. This one may have proven success, but I'd like to see the results from more years. For me I'm lucky I was only chasing $15 per series...I learned the hard way and you guys might too. chasing for only measly 15-20 bucks will cost you about more than a grand for a 6 game chase.. i usually pick spots and apply my own analysis to ensure whether or not it is worth betting. All systems have flaws; if you blindly follow the filters or system procedures, it is not enough.
if your bookie offers quarter lines, then i suggest you chase the third quarter on the lakers. if the laker failed to cover on 3rd, then double down on the fourth. i won the second quarter bet on the lakers already and now i am chase a whole new set, 3rd and 4th quarter.
my analysis tells me that elimination game will go double digit or more.Comment -
Well not everyone's bankroll is the same. I'm a college student, so a bit more than $1k is a nice chunk. Luckily I still have a lot of my BR left but this one stings.
As far as "blindly following the system procedures", that's what systems are all about. You're putting in some handicapping work, and I'm guessing a lot of people are blindly following the system (since the backtested results are based on blindly following the procedure). Obviously Pettitte and the Yanks yesterday was a massively -EV bet but it was part of the system and the majority jumped on it. Following the system means making some bad bets, and putting in handicapping work isn't really following the system that was backtested.
Anyway I know I'm being a real pain in the ass right now, and this negativity is not needed, but cut me some slack, I just lost an "F" bet.Comment -

It never seizes to amaze me when bettors get on a losing streak and start pulling out all kinds of Excuses and reasons why not to play and why Chase systems never work and BLAH,BLAH,BLAH.
With all Due Respect to some of the above posters,If your bankroll isnt large enough or your wagering above your means. YOU WILL LOSE EVERYTHING QUICKLY.
However their is a flip side to that coin.Some of US have a rather larger bankroll and can off-set short-term draw-downs and weekend loses. That is part of gambling that will never go away and ANYONE that gambles will go thru the same thing.
The difference between losing short-term and Long-term is Displine and belief in your System and or systems and or betting style that works for you.
CHASE Systems do work and have worked since the dawn of sports gambling. Its how you handle it, is what makes you a long-term loser or a long -term winner.
Its funny some of the largest gambling rings known to this day still use in may forms chase systems on certain teams and games. Not all gamlbing is based on a 1 game win or lose each and every day.
The above chase RL system works and works well. you just need to have the bankroll to off-set short-term drawdowns.
The highest Mone-line team that you play on the - run-line is not going to lose Long-term. That is a fact due to the homework on it ???? Ok so maybe you will go to a bet 7 or 8 BIG-DEAL. Thats nothing esp when you are getting + money on 3/4 of the wagers.
Tell me the differnce of the guy whom wagers 15- 25 grand a game vs a guy who chases 6 to 8 games same risk is involved.
If you have a bankroll under 2500.00 You most likely should not play any type of chase system at all. As that is not proper money management skills and or Displine. To be in school and looking to risk X amount of monies wagering sports maybe you should stop watching all the BS poker movies in where all these guys play their way thru school ?????? Its the movies.
To be profitable IMHO on a chase system you must have a working bankroll of at least 10 grand and thats bare bones minuim. At that level if you wager correctly your chances of going bust are slim and none.
I work with upwards of 30 k and still keep my opening wagers less then 75.00 a game....That is why I can surrive a 8- 10 game chase which by the way HAS NEVER WENT PAST 7 GAMES. True my wagers are small but long-term is what I want. Why should I give my money to Barron funds or Janus funds and loss 50 % in less then a year, when I can control my own Monies.
Keep in mind your chase system has to HAVE Lots of Underdogs in it......This what makes the Runline chase SO GREAT.........................

ok I come up with two more good custom chases..
Texas over (Texas is running on a 9 under streak already and it is due to go over in the next 3 or 4 games. I know for one system this will be the last game chase for him but it will be the first game chase for me.) I wll give about the next 3 games before it hits the over.
Another good chase would be the MLB RL chase, which many people here are on their game 6th tomorrow. For people who didn't start chasing, it would be your first tomorrow then chase it for the next 4 games or so. The winning % is wicked high, but I am not going to say 100%. Historically, it shows that this system has never went beyond the 7th chase...

1) You don't know my bankroll, or who I am so thanks for the condescending remarks...I lost a bit more than 1/6 of my roll with this, so I am fine, even though I consider it a large loss. Before this my roll was a bit below the required amount that you specified.
2) Great, you can chase 8-10 games a series because you have a roll. That's not the issue...if you look at the first page, the system is a 6-game chase, which I would guess is what most people are playing. All the backtested info that was typed in this page is based on a 6-game chase. In fact, EVERYTHING in this thread is about a 6-game chase. So that is what I played. I followed all of the requirements and procedures, and realized that everyone plays this differently (Covers/SBR sometimes have different teams).
Your post comes off as pretty condescending, not everyone is lucky enough to have enough money to chase up to 10 games. I can handle you ripping me for whining, but the whole:

The reply was not a shot just at you. Its about bettors who bet above their means and do not have the displine to stay on course and have enough behind them in case of problems.

If you do not have the bankroll to support such a system or Chase systems DONT PLAY THEM................

My personal bankroll took a good 3 years to build and not betting or wagering on systems that I Could not afford to lose on.Next time do your homework. Most of what you say makes sense and are things I agree with, I was just letting off a little steam earlier. I'm a bit hypocritical since I used chase systems in the NBA, so yeah they can work. What I don't agree with is how you say to play the system, but if it goes wrong, chase further. There's a reason why it's a system, it shouldn't be modified IMO. Again, let me say I was letting off steam earlier by saying it can't work, but I agree that I should be ripped for that - and only that.

Gimme a break, I built my roll up huge betting on the NBA this year (all plays documented on another forum - won more than 90u, plus did the JM & Cartytay which went perfect), and I still have about 5/6 of my bankroll left. I used strict bankroll management discipline in using this system, yet I'm getting ripped on having NO discipline...you must think I'm some sort of degen that lost his roll on this chase. Again you know nothing about my me or my situation.
I'm not gonna "go the extra mile and play thru" it since if I lose the next game I'll really be fked. That's bankroll management.

very nice wording. many people cannot face criticism or in another term posters commonly used is called "bashing". therefore, they forfeited good knowledge. martingale system works but only if you have done alot of research about the past history of the system. For example, for this RL 6 game chasing system, one guy did his research and found that it had never went beyond 7 or 8th chase in history of the last decade. So that is the defined threshold, and we expect the probability to break that record is low. for other systems, that threshold bar might be higher or lower depending on the historical data.Comment -

Yes GG You are correct. As of late afternoon yesterday thu it was Cleveland whom opened up with the Highest ML on pinnacle.
So there is an Issue as to what side to take ????? Myself I took cleveland already so the play for me is done.
However with SBR coming with the Laa as the highest I dont know what to say. Take them .
How they could say that LAA was the highest I dont know, as of last nights opening they were not the highest at all. Tough spot for sure. I could have jumped the gun thats for sure,but I did see all the opening lines last night.

man I dont know how to express myself for this CLE game. I swear I will win at least one time in this super martingale chase.. it is equivalent to 11 game chase for me (5 previous failed chase tact on to my next 6 chase). hoping that LAA don't win the RL or this chase is done.
I am like angry and happy at the same time. I am happy because I know this super martingale chase works and can make a profit in the long run. most of all, losing is hard. angry is because the lines for the two games are so tight and LAA moved higher than CLE in the last hours.Comment -
