I've never seen a ref call a foul in that situation. But Wall just holding the ball when they need to hoist up a 3 was even more silly. If they dont call a foul Isaiah Thomas would have dribbled out the clock. But a foul with 0.7 seconds left in a 6 point game? Seriously?

So obvoius. And people say these athletes are not in on the fix. A behind the back pass down 6 by Humphreys. Wall not shooting. A foul down 6 with 0.7 secs to go and then proceed to throw the ball away. The fix was in. Probably most money on the spread was on Wizards. Disgusting.

it was +6
I bet Washington for about 300 on the +6
that ending was beyond bizarre
Wall holds the ball for three seconds and then loses it?
Why aren't they shooting?
How much did Wall bet on Phoenix?
and the foul with under a second left....
refs also needed to ensure Phoenix got the cover

Lol... The espn game cast had it wrong then... Even worse, after the guy just stepped out of bounds ? They get ball back and end up at line, wild stuff...

this should go into an archive of blatantly fixed game endings. is there a youtube compilation for that? there should be. plenty to show in the NBA.
honestly, this was one of the most crooked endings I've seen in my history of watching sports.

If the Wizards had wanted to fix, they would not have wanted to make it obvious. They were down 22 at one point, and could have folded without even trying to come back. And Otto Porter who fouled with less than 1 second left, helped the Wizards to make it close at the end of the game.
Well, last night was a disappointing night in the end, as the Washington Wizards closed our night out in a downer fashion, snapping what should have been a 3-0 ATS sweep of the board once again last night!!
We kicked our NBA night off with 2 easy WINNERS in our first 2 plays and were looking great with the Wizards and their +6.5 underdog status!! Down 6 with 5 seconds left in the game and with the ball in John Wall's hands, everything seemed great. Until Wall inexplicably just stood there, losing the ball and even more inexplicably, committing a foul with 0.7 seconds left in the game!! Who the hell calls a foul with 0.7 seconds left in a 6-point game anyway?! Left bewildered, we couldn't help but watch as the 2 FT were made with 0 seconds left on the clock, officially busting our spread and PERFECT night!! Seriously?!

Copied this from another post I made. I was on the Wiz +6.5 in that game and it was brutal to watch. But it never should have gotten there in the first place. You wanna see a fix take a look at the closing spread/total and then the FT numbers in the DePaul/Providence game today....
Case in point. People calling "fix" to the end of the Suns/Wiz game last night. Yes, the ending was ridiculous and the offical screwed up by calling that foul with 0.7 left but it was what it was. The only "fix" in that game was the Wiz even having a shred of a chance to cover in the first place. I've studied one of the refs from that game for 2 years now and I watched every minute of that 2nd half. Trust me...the refs did everything they could to get that game close. Ref at the end just screwed up and didn't get the memo. As for the Wizards "sitting on the ball". Well they are at the end of a long road trip and they are young. No fix there they just lost it.

Agree. It was almost the greatest backdoor cover of the week. Phoenix backers deserved to win (no offense, tat). Then again, the Suns implode in the 4th quarter on pretty much a nightly basis, so you almost got what you paid for if you took Phoenix in the first place.
