Leeds vs. Manchester United Prediction, Picks & Odds for Sunday's Premier League Match
Last Updated: October 17, 2026 4:44 AM EDT • 3 minute read X Social Google News Link
While the Red Devils will look for form and confidence in a challenging road test at Elland Road, I’m backing the home side in my Leeds vs. Manchester United prediction.
Leeds, unbeaten at home, are the +130 betting favorite for Sunday’s match (9 a.m. ET, USA Network). I’m also featuring a bet on the total and a Dominic Calvert-Lewin goal-scorer prop.

Leeds ML (+130 via BetMGM)
Leeds are facing Manchester United at an opportune time, with the Red Devils reeling on and off the pitch. United are winless in five matches and have won just two of nine games in all competitions. Those wins came against minnows Sabah in the Champions League and newly promoted Ipswich Town at home.
Lisandro Martinez’s recent disparaging comments after the defeat to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League won’t help matters, as he suggested the current squad isn’t good enough.
Leeds are undefeated at Elland Road, with one win and two draws. They are dangerous on the counter and won’t allow an unconfident Manchester United team the opportunity to settle. Nor will their raucous supporters.
🆚 Who will win Leeds vs Manchester United?
I’m backing Leeds United to beat a struggling Manchester United 1-0. Leeds are a solid unit at home and United enter the match low on confidence and self-belief.
Score prediction: Leeds 1, Manchester United 0
More Leeds vs. Manchester United expert picks
Dominic Calvert-Lewin anytime goal (+195 via FanDuel)
Calvert-Lewin has three goals in six Premier League matches. That’s tied for the sixth-most through six matches. While it’s a productive haul, I’m more drawn to the fact that all three of his goals came at Elland Road.
He netted his first against Brentford in the home opener and scored a brace in the 4-1 rout of Newcastle. Nobody scored in Leeds’ 0-0 stalemate against Crystal Palace in their recent home match.
United’s defense has allowed at least one goal in eight of nine matches in all competitions. Their only clean sheet came against an inferior Sabah side.
Under 2.5 goals (+120 via FanDuel)
Some stats, like United’s fifth-best expected goals (10.7), lead one down the Over path. However, United have struggled in front of goal since netting seven in two matches against Ipswich and Everton early in the season.
Since bagging two against the Toffees, the Red Devils have scored two goals in three Premier League matches while conceding three. Leeds have been solid defensively at home, allowing just two goals in three matches.
