🏒 NHL Player Props Today: Best Bets & Prop Picks for Wednesday, April 29

I've featured all of tonight's games in my NHL player props, with Jack Eichel, Dylan Guenther, Sidney Crosby, and Brandon Hagel under the spotlight. 

Eichel was outstanding in Utah, Guenther has been a shooting machine, and Crosby has willed the Pittsburgh Penguins back into their first-round series. Hagel, meanwhile, is on pace to score the most goals in a series of any active player. Let's get into it.

Jack Eichel Over 1.5 points (+140) vs. Mammoth 

Eichel lived up to his Eichel Tower nickname in Game 4 against the Mammoth, dominant throughout and securing 3 assists for his performance. He set up Shea Theodore's overtime winner and enjoyed a Conn Smythe-like performance. 

He also scored 2 points at home in Game 2 and has been the Golden Knights' most threatening offensive player. Vegas' offense was much more formidable in Utah, with at least 3.12 expected goals in both away games.

Led by Eichel, I expect a similar effort from the Pacific Division champs at home in Game 5.

Dylan Guenther Over 3.5 shots (+100) at Golden Knights  

I backed Guenther to fire at least 4 shots on goal in Game 4, and he blew through the total, mustering 7. Guenther has hit the Over on this total in all four games, registering 20 shots on goal, the fourth-most in the playoffs.

It's also his desire to fire pucks toward Carter Hart's goal that has me convinced to back him in consecutive games. Guenther has attempted 44 shots, an average of 11 per game. 

While I expect that average to drop, I'm confident he'll secure at least 4 for a fifth game running. 

Sidney Crosby Over 0.5 assists (-130) at Flyers 

Crosby has dragged his team back into the series against the Philadelphia Flyers, registering 2 assists in the Penguins' 3-2 Game 4 win.

He has at least 1 helper in each of the previous 3 games, registering 4.

And I have no doubt the best version of the legend will show up in Philly, intent on willing his team to a third successive victory and an opportunity to play the decider on home ice. Even if the Pens don't secure the win, Crosby should register an almost obligatory point. Recent trends suggest that it will be an assist. 

Brandon Hagel anytime goal (+140) vs. Canadiens  

Brandon Hagel already has six goals against the Montreal Canadiens, netting at least 1 in all four games. He scored 2 in the third period of Game 4, helping the Tampa Bay Lightning overturn a 1-goal deficit and square the series at 2 games apiece. 

Hagel has been a monster among men, and he's only 2 goals shy of tying the all-time mark for most in a playoff series by an active player, a record currently held by three players (including teammate Jake Guentzel). 

At the moment, there's no stopping him.

I omitted the Hagel anytime goal-scorer prop to increase the probability and chances of winning. The 3-leg parlay's +507 odds imply a probability of 16.47%.

If Eichel plays like he did in Utah for Game 4, I'm confident he'll score at least two points in tonight's swing game. Guenther has been a shooting machine, and I'm surprised to still see that prop at even-money odds. 

Crosby will be at his best once again as the Pens' season hangs in the balance, and I'm obliged to back Hagel based on his recent goal-scoring explosion. 

As I believe goals will be at a premium in Tampa, I'm only investing a half unit in Hagel. Each unit is $10.
