I have my eye on a few key matchups for my NFL player props for Week 3, including the battle between the New York Jets and Detroit Lions at Ford Field.

My headlining picks feature Dalton Kincaid, Jaxon-Smith Njigba, and Geno Smith, all of whom should have productive outings for reasons I dive into below. These player props are part of our NFL Week 3 predictions.

Dalton Kincaid Over 54.5 receiving yards (-114)

Josh Allen keeps raving about Kincaid, saying his tight end has a matchup advantage no matter who he faces.

The Bills’ towering tight end has become Allen’s favorite target, as shown by Kincaid’s 130 receiving yards in Week 1 against the Houston Texans and 95 in Week 2 versus the Detroit Lions.

He’s facing a Chargers defense that allows 64.5 yards per game to opposing tight ends, the sixth-most through two weeks.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba anytime TD (+100)

Smith-Njigba hasn’t missed a beat since leading the Seattle Seahawks to glory last season. The reigning Offensive Player of the Year has hit paydirt four times in two games, including a three-TD outburst against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2.

He’s facing a Washington Commanders defense that has conceded the most passing TDs (7), three of which came against opposing wide receivers.

Smith-Njigba being Drew Lock’s favorite target won’t surprise anyone. What might make you raise an eyebrow for a nanosecond, though, is that Smith-Njigba has accounted for all four of Lock’s four TDs thus far.

Geno Smith Over 216.5 passing yards (-114)

Geno Smith threw for 247 yards in wet and dismal conditions in the Week 2 overtime defeat to the Green Bay Packers. He will have the chance to play in ideal conditions at Ford Field in a prospective game script that should favor the Jets’ QB surpassing the 246.5-yard threshold.

I’m predicting the Lions cover the spread, as I detailed in my NFL picks against the spread, which would require a pass-heavy second-half game plan.

He’s also facing an injury-riddled, inferior secondary that the New Orleans Saints and Buffalo Bills ripped apart.
