NFL Moneyline Picks for Week 3: Best Bets to Win Every Game

Monitoring injuries to starting quarterbacks will be a major theme this week as I make NFL moneyline picks for every Week 3 game. Steering clear of that uncertainty, two of my three favorite plays involve NFC South teams helmed by ascendant signal-callers.

My best NFL Week 3 moneyline bets

Vikings (-122) vs. Buccaneers ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Less concerning to me than the Bucs being 0-2 is how they got there. Only a Falcons team starting its third-string QB has committed more turnovers than Tampa through two games.

While he is completing a high percentage of his passes, Baker Mayfield has been sloppy in key situations. That includes brutal overthrows in last week's loss to Cleveland. Whatever the reason may be, the Bucs QB just doesn't seem right.

Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores has cooked up Jordan Love and Caleb Williams in consecutive weeks. He'll do the same to Mayfield in Tampa on Sunday. Kyler Murray returning to Minnesota's lineup is the cherry on top of this pick.

Panthers (-148) vs. Browns ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Panthers were one of my three featured NFL moneyline picks ahead of Week 2. Oddsmakers are still underrating Carolina even after thumping the Falcons 34-3 in Atlanta. Like last week, the primary reason behind this pick is the stellar play of Panthers QB Bryce Young. 

Young is tied for the league lead with six touchdown passes while ranking top six in yards per attempt and total quarterback rating. Those elite stats pass the eye test, too: He looks like the confident passer who wowed at Alabama to become the first overall pick.

On the other sideline, Deshaun Watson has actually performed better early on than I expected. But the Browns' home opener will be a tense environment for Watson, with a Cleveland crowd likely anticipating a meltdown.

Saints (-175) vs. Raiders ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is a tough Saints squad that hasn't blinked in the critical moments, even when trailing in the second half of both of their games thus far. New Orleans is a perfect 4/4 on fourth down and converting an elite 50% of third-down opportunities.

Quarterback Tyler Shough gets better as the game goes along, while Chris Olave is proving he's one of the league's best wideouts when he can stay on the field.

The Saints shocked the Ravens on the road last Sunday and were one 2-point conversion away from doing the same in Detroit the week prior. The undefeated Raiders have yet to face a passing attack like this.
