Giants vs. Rams Prediction: Week 2 Odds, Picks & Best Bet
We’ll soon find out how well Sean McVay’s team will rebound after a thoroughly disappointing Down Under sojourn. And while I expect the Super Bowl odds favorites to win their first game of the season, I’m backing the G-Men to keep things relatively close in my Giants vs. Rams prediction.
The Giants were exquisite in Week 1, and I believe John Harbaugh will have them ready to deliver an encore performance on Monday Night Football. Kickoff from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif., is set for 8:15 p.m. ET (ABC, ESPN). The analysis below is part of our Week 2 NFL predictions.

While few G-Men fans will be jumping prematurely for joy after an impressive 28-20 win over the Dallas Cowboys, there were plenty of positive takeaways from the Week 1 performance.
Their secondary, meant to be one of the team’s weaknesses, held CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens to 72 combined yards, and the Jaxson Dart-led offense racked up 394 yards.
The Rams return from Australia as the only team not to score 10 points in Week 1. Myles Garrett is out, and Puka Nacua is questionable after sustaining a hip injury. Aaron Donald is making his long-anticipated return, but I expect it to take some time for the recent retiree to regain game sharpness.
All of those factors, along with John Harbaugh’s early galvanizing impact on the G-Men, should contribute to a close encounter at SoFi Stadium.
📡 SBR Edge: Rams' offensive line struggles
The San Francisco 49ers had the best quarterback knockdown percentage in Week 1 (28.6%) despite having the joint-worst hurry percentage (0%) and the fifth-lowest blitz percentage (10.3%).
Giants defense will look to emulate 49ers’ blueprint
The 49ers made life miserable for Matthew Stafford despite blitzing only 10.3% of the time. The Giants blitzed at 13.9%, the ninth-lowest rate in Week 1, yet they held Dak Prescott to just 175 passing yards on 22 completions.
If the Giants can make things difficult for Stafford without blitzing much, their defense has a solid chance of preventing last season’s MVP from putting on a show, the likelihood of which will increase markedly if Nacua is unable to play.
