Giants vs. Eagles prediction & best bet

The Giants will trot out QB J.J. McCarthy in hopes that he can continue producing through the air out of their bye week. He's formed a strong rapport with New York's personnel, including star wideout Malik Nabers, and now faces an Eagles defense ranked 22nd in yards per play allowed.
Philadelphia is generating just a 20.1% pressure rate, which is eighth lowest in the NFL. The Eagles have also allowed 4.3 YPC and 10 rushing touchdowns, which is why they are -11.45 in EXP contributed by the run defense.
Whether it's McCarthy and Nabers, or Cam Skattebo and Devin Singletary, the Giants should be able to move the football with relative ease into scoring position. New York's run defense is equally porous, sitting 23rd in run defense at -6.57 EXP.
Saquon Barkley is the lone star remaining in the Eagles' offense. He should be effective enough, while QB Tanner McKee is questionable and dealing with a rib injury.

McCarthy's second start for the Giants should yield big production through the air against a struggling pass defense. The Eagles are allowing 6.7 net yards per pass attempt, the fifth-highest mark in the NFL, while also struggling to contain the opposing run game.
This could be a tight matchup between familiar opponents, with an Eagles team desperate to snap its six-game losing skid. The Giants aren't juggernauts, failing to beat the Commanders and Saints in consecutive weeks, but with McCarthy under center, New York grinds out a 23-20 win in Philadelphia.
