My Elif Nur Turhan vs. Alycia Baumgardner prediction is a victory for Baumgardner, who moves up to 135 pounds to challenge the undefeated IBF lightweight champion Sunday night in Arlington, Texas. The former undisputed super featherweight champion is a -700 betting favorite against Turhan, who brings eight knockout victories into the biggest fight of her career.

The 10-round main event takes place at College Park Center, with ESPN's broadcast beginning at 8:30 p.m. ET. Turhan has defended her title twice since stunning Beatriz Ferreira last December, while Baumgardner enters off a decision win in April.

Alycia Baumgardner to win fight (-700)

Baumgardner has the cleaner path because Turhan's constant forward pressure creates simple counter-punching chances. “The Bomb,” the former undisputed 130-pound champion, has faster feet and a more reliable jab. If she fights clean and quick, Turhan will never find her big punches.

While Turhan flexed some serious power in her win over Ferreira, she was less convincing in the subsequent title defenses. Turhan won a split decision, then edged Gabriela Tellez 96-94 on all three scorecards. Tellez actually outlanded her 100-75 in that bout.

Baumgardner took some damage and wasn't flawless against Bo Mi Re Shin in April, but she adjusted and cruised to victory. The three-round format could make Turhan dangerous, especially early, but less so late.

I expect Turhan to force exchanges, while Baumgardner lands cleaner shots, controls distance, and pulls away on the cards.

1+ total knockdowns (+155)

Turhan knocked down unbeaten Beatriz Ferreira in the opening round of their December 2025 title fight, then finished her in the fifth. Baumgardner, meanwhile, found herself visibly shaken by Bo Mi Re Shin's right hand in April. She’d take a few more hard punches in that fight.

These fighters are scheduled for 10 three-minute rounds, creating more time for one clean shot than the traditional two-minute format. A knockdown can cash this ticket even if Baumgardner still wins on points. I think the updated rounds format is really worth something in this fight.

At +155, the bet implies a 39.2% probability and returns $15.50 profit on a $10 wager.
