Sao Paulo Grand Prix Predictions, Odds 2026: Expert F1 Picks for Sunday's Race
Despite Kimi Antonelli wrapping up the world championship last week in Mexico, excitement and intrigue abound for Sunday’s GP. My Sao Paulo Grand Prix predictions feature three bets, including a winner pick.
Max Verstappen is the +110 betting favorite, with Antonelli receiving the second-shortest odds. Lando Norris, who I’m backing to finish on the podium, is trading behind the aforementioned pair. The analysis below features three of the previous four Sao Paulo GP winners.

Pick to win Sao Paulo Grand Prix: Max Verstappen (+175)
Make it three wins in the previous four races for the flying Dutchman, who didn’t have a victory in the season’s first 15 GPs. That said, Verstappen has been in sublime form since mid-July, finishing on the podium in nine of the last 10 races.
He’s also historically superb in Sao Paulo, taking the checkered flag there in two of the previous three editions. His 2024 triumph was most memorable, as he won despite starting 17th on the grid.
He’s finished off the podium just twice in the last 12 races.
Lando Norris top-3 finish (-140)
Norris hasn’t finished among the top three in five races, his longest non-podium drought of the season. He’s overdue for an excellent run, and there’s no better place for it than Sao Paulo, where he won last year.
He has started the pre-race festivities well, posting the fastest time in P1 and the second-fastest in P2. McLaren also enters the race with a significant upgrade package, which should provide a subtle yet notable boost to the car’s performance.
Lewis Hamilton top-3 finish (+125)
After a run of six non-podium finishes, Hamilton has been among the top three in two of the previous four races. That includes last week’s second place at the Mexico GP, where he finished just 0.799 seconds behind Verstappen.
While not quite as impressive as his five-race run at the end of May and start of July, Hamilton enters in reminiscent form. Interlagos should also suit Ferrari.
Excluding the three lengthy straights, the circuit has 15 turns. Scuderia’s SF-26 is the best cornering car, and Hamilton should take advantage.
How I'm betting the Sao Paulo Grand Prix
Verstappen is untouchable at the moment, and I fancy him against Kimi Antonelli, who wrapped up his first championship last week in Mexico. Apologies for the pun, but the Italian superstar will likely let his foot off the gas after the emotional highs of becoming world champion.
I expect either Norris or Hamilton to finish third, but probably not both. It would be a bonus if the pair finishes on the podium, but I’m hedging my bets by backing both.
