The 3-1 Dallas Cowboys visit the reigning Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams on Sunday of Week 5. Read on for our top Cowboys-Rams picks.

The Cowboys have rung up three straight victories with backup quarterback Cooper Rush at the helm of the offense. Dallas will face its toughest test of the season in a road date with Los Angeles.

However, the 2022 Rams look far different than the team that won the Lombardi Trophy. L.A. most recent disappointing loss came at the hands of the rival San Francisco 49ers in Week 4. That snapped a two-game winning streak in which the Rams were just 1-1 against the spread.

Check out our NFL best bets and all of our top Week 5 picks.

Here are our Cowboys-Rams NFL picks for Week 5 (odds via BetMGM, Caesars Sportsbook, and DraftKings Sportsbook; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Cowboys vs. Rams ATS Pick

Cowboys +5.5 (-110) ★★

As of Friday morning, we are operating under the assumption that Cowboys QB Dak Prescott will again be ruled out and Cooper Rush will be under center. At what point do we have to start seriously considering that Rush could be a starting quarterback in the league sooner than later?

Rush is the first Cowboys quarterback to win his first four career games. He has done a great job of taking care of the football with four touchdowns to no turnovers, and he has a 95-plus passer rating in each of his first three starts this year.

It also helps that Rush is backed by a defense that has been living in the opponent's backfield, leading the NFL in pass rush win rate. The Cowboys have allowed 15.5 points per game, and their opponents' points have dropped each successive week with a season-low 10 points allowed to the Commanders in Week 4.

The Rams were held to 10 or fewer points in each of their losses, so we are compelled to take the points with the underdog in what projects to be a low-scoring affair.

Cowboys vs. Rams O/U Pick

Under 43.5 (-110) ★★★★

The Dallas defense has been record-setting through the first four weeks, as the Cowboys are the first team since 1973 to hold each of its first four opponents to 19 or fewer points. The Cowboys have 15 sacks (eighth time in franchise history with that many through four games), and their 65 pressures are the third-most behind the 2020 Steelers (72) and 2018 Steelers (67) through the first four weeks of a season.

Dallas now faces a Rams team that allowed seven sacks on Monday night against San Francisco, and Matthew Stafford was pressured on 17 of 56 dropbacks, the second-most since 2021.

Los Angeles also had no touchdowns in a game for the fourth time under head coach Sean McVay. The most glaring issue is the Rams have not had anyone on offense outside of Cooper Kupp make plays. Kupp was the only Rams receiver with more than two catches last week. Until someone else steps up, Los Angeles will continue to be involved in defensive struggles.

Cowboys vs. Rams Prop Pick

Gallup anytime touchdown scorer (+290) ★★

Cowboys receiver Michael Gallup immediately impacted the offense in his first game back last week, catching a touchdown and drawing 65 yards worth of penalties against the Washington secondary.

Though he was officially targeted only three times, he ran a route on 85% of the team’s dropbacks and should see plenty of looks as he establishes more of a rapport with Rush. In addition, Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey will probably line up opposite CeeDee Lamb for most of the afternoon, so the Cowboys will likely look to exploit Gallup's less intimidating matchup.
