The NBA returns to action with a 12-game slate on Friday, and we offer up our top prop picks for the loaded schedule.

Some of the brightest young stars will be going head to head on Friday, most notably the Trae Young vs. Ja Morant matchup between then the Atlanta Hawks and Memphis Grizzlies. Elsewhere, two veteran aces will also go at it, as the Portland Trail Blazers and PG Damian Lillard travel south to take on PG Stephen Curry and the surging Golden State Warriors.

Here my top prop picks for Friday's 12-game NBA schedule (odds via DraftKings Sportsbook).

Top NBA Prop Picks

Reggie Jackson Over 2.5 3-pointers (-150)Trae Young Over 24.5 points (-115)D’Angelo Russell Over 19.5 points (-115)

Top NBA Prop Bets

Jackson Over 2.5 3-pointers (-150)

Despite the team being in a slump and losing three of their last four games, Jackson has been balling. He has scored 18 or more points in four of his last five games, including dropping 31 in the Clippers' overtime loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday.

Jackson is shooting 34.6% from 3-point range on the season, and he’s starting to progress toward his average of 41.9% over the previous two campaigns. He made seven total 3-pointers in his last two outings, and I like for the soft defense of the Pistons to allow him plenty of chances to get there again on Friday. Back Jackson Over 2.5 3-pointers with our top NBA prop picks.

Young Over 24.5 points (-115)

Winners of their last six games, the Hawks are starting to remind everyone why they made the Eastern Conference Finals last season. Those reminders start with the All-Star caliber play of PG Trae Young.

Averaging 25.3 points per game for the season, Young had 30 or more points in his past two outings and 23 or more in eight of his last 10. Now facing a Memphis team that will be assigning second-year SG Desmond Bane to him, I like for Young to have 25 or more points for the third straight game.

Russell Over 19.5 points (-115)

While the second-year star players in Timberwolves SG Anthony Edwards and Hornets PG LaMelo Ball will get all the attention in this one, I like for another guard to quietly have a big game on Friday in Charlotte. The third-highest scorer on the team, Russell is averaging 18.4 points per game this season and only improving.

Russell scored 20 or more points in four of his last six games, including a 28-point performance against the Grizzlies last week. The last time we saw him on the floor, Russell dropped 20 points and was a perfect 4-for-4 from the free-throw line against the Miami Heat on Wednesday.

With much of the attention on Edwards and C Karl-Anthony Towns, I like for Russell to get at least 20 points again on Friday.
