The reeling Toronto Raptors get some reinforcements as the team welcomes LeBron James and Co. to town, and we're offering our top Lakers vs. Raptors player props based on the best NBA odds.

The Toronto Raptors (23-51) suffered their 12th consecutive loss last week, including a 44-point defeat to the New York Knicks, and they extended the streak to 13 games with a 15-point loss to the Philadelphia 76ers. Now they aim to halt their slide against the Los Angeles Lakers (42-33) on Tuesday, with tipoff scheduled for 7 p.m. ET at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.

The Lakers are playing some solid basketball lately, winning six of their last seven games to move to ninth in the Western Conference. They remain one of the favorites to have to fight for their postseason spot by the NBA Play-In Tournament odds. Additionally, there's always the issue of LeBron James torturing the Raptors and their fans for what feels like an endless number of years.

That could change on Tuesday with some familiar faces returning to the court for the Raptors. Will the King foil the Toronto crowd like he often does, or can the hosts return the favor?

D'Angelo Russell Over 16.5 points (+100 via Betway) ⭐⭐⭐  

As one of our best Ontario sportsbooks, Betway has done a good job of appropriately pricing the props for many of this game's biggest players. Therefore, we turn our attention to a second-tier scorer on the Lakers.

D'Angelo Russell is averaging 18.1 points per game this season, and he's gone Over this total in three of his last five. He most recently bounced back from a poor showing against the Indiana Pacers to score 18 against the Brooklyn Nets in the Lakers' last game.

Across two of our trusted projection models, Russell's average points projection is 17.8. When we run that number against these +100 odds, we're getting 10% positive expected value on this bet.

With the Raptors possibly locking in more on LeBron and Anthony Davis, Russell should be freed up to score nearly 20 points.

RJ Barrett Under 3.5 assists (-105 via Betway) ⭐⭐⭐  

RJ Barrett is expected to return to the Raptors' lineup for the first time since March 11. He was on fire leading up to his absence, clearing this assists line in four of his last five games. However, following that extended time away, his minutes could be somewhat capped on Tuesday against the Lakers.

Barrett may play fewer minutes than the 33.7 he's averaged since being traded to the Raptors because the Lakers could very well blow out Toronto. As 11.5-point favorites, the Lakers could force the Raptors to go to their bench for stretches of the second half and potentially most of the fourth quarter.

If he's limited to around 25 minutes, Barrett's chances to rack up four assists will be severely limited, especially considering how anemic the Raptors' offense has been lately.

Barrett is projected to record only 3.05 assists on Tuesday. We're getting nearly 25% +EV on this bet based on that projection.

Immanuel Quickley Under 6.5 assists (+110 via Betway) ⭐⭐⭐  

For our third pick, we attack another assist Under for a Raptors player. This time, it's Immanuel Quickley, who's also expected to return on Tuesday following a relatively extended absence.

Quickley last played on March 17, and he went Over this assists total in four of his last five games. However, he faces the same issues that Barrett does, and his projection reflects that.

The Raptors guard is projected for just 4.95 assists against the Lakers, well below the seven he'd need to clear this line. Betway's +110 odds are, therefore, very enticing, as we're getting nearly 60% +EV on this bet.

Quickley and Barrett's probable return will give the Raptors a big boost, but it may not be enough to cool down the red-hot Lakers. With their minutes expected to be somewhat limited - either by design or game script - we'll gladly take the Under on these assists props.
