Celtics vs. Knicks NBA Player Props, Odds: Can New York Finally Beat Boston?

The Boston Celtics visit Madison Square Garden in search of a fourth straight win against the New York Knicks, and our Celtics-Knicks NBA player props are based on the best NBA odds.

The Boston Celtics and New York Knicks are set to meet for the fourth time in 2023-24 during their Saturday night matchup at Madison Square Garden.

The Celtics are undefeated in three games against the Knicks during 2023-24, but New York will look to change that during the penultimate meeting of the campaign between these teams. The Celtics sit comfortably atop the Eastern Conference with a league-best 44-12 record, 7.5 games ahead of the No. 2 seeded Cleveland Cavaliers.

Meanwhile, the Knicks are 10 games back of Boston as the No. 4 seed with a 34-22 record. The Celtics are tied with the Dallas Mavericks for the longest active winning streak in the Association with seven straight, and Boston is 13-1 against division opponents.

Jayson Tatum Over 39.5 points + rebounds + assists (-120 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐

Tatum has enjoyed plenty of success at Madison Square Garden over the years. He's averaging 26.7 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 6.3 assists over his last six games there, good for 40.5 PRAs. He’s totaled at least 40 PRAs in three of those contests. Tatum has eclipsed this line in two of three games against the Knicks during 2023-24.

Tatum has been averaging 46.2 PRAs across his last five games overall while hitting the Over on this line three times. He came out of the All-Star break talking about getting himself into the MVP discussion and measuring the quality of his play based on Boston’s championship aspirations. Tatum currently sits fifth in the NBA MVP odds.

He provided 37 PRAs against the Chicago Bulls on Thursday in his first game after the All-Star break, though the Celtics won handily and Tatum therefore wasn’t needed to be at his best. The Knicks should offer more of a challenge, and we can expect Tatum to show up for this nationally televised game in the Mecca of Basketball.

There are plenty of great props we can target for Achiuwa on Saturday. He’s getting double-double odds at plus-money, and his PRAs prop is moderately priced.

Instead, we’ll take a look at the best value on the market, which lies in his rebounds prop. Achiuwa has been more consistent as a scorer lately, but that’s not his strong suit, so we’re all-in on what he does best.

The forward has been averaging 10.3 boards across his last 10 games (all starts). He’s pulled down at least 10 boards in three straight, four of his last five, and five of his last eight contests.

The Celtics are among the top-10 teams in the league in points allowed in the paint, but Boston is middle-of-the-pack in rebounds given up. Achiuwa has logged more than 40 minutes per tilt since joining the first unit, and he should get plenty of opportunities to crash the glass at home.

Kristaps Porzingis Over 2.5 blocks (+200 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐

We’re going for plus-money odds here as Porzingis faces the team that drafted him. KP has played in five games at Madison Square Garden since leaving the team, and he’s averaged 2.2 blocks in those contests while swatting at least three shots twice.

The Knicks have allowed the 11th-most blocks to opponents in 2023-24, and we’ve bet on opposing centers reaching significant block milestones against them. Most notably, Brook Lopez turned aside nine shots against New York on Nov. 3, the second-most in the Association this season.

Most interestingly, Porzingis’ home/road splits heavily favor being productive outside of TD Garden. He’s averaging 2.5 blocks on the road compared to 1.3 at home. Of his 12 games with at least three blocked shots, 10 have come on the road.

Porzingis blocked four shots at New York way on Oct. 25, and he’ll look to add another three-block game on Saturday.
