A pair of spreads and a pair of point totals make up our best bets for tonight’s nine-game slate. Our top NBA picks for Wednesday are based on the best NBA odds.

For tonight’s slate, we’re targeting a pair of high-scoring games and two point spreads on opposite ends of the spectrum. The Portland Trail Blazers host the Golden State Warriors, while the Houston Rockets host the Sacramento Kings in two games with lofty point totals. The Indiana Pacers are modest underdogs on the road against the Miami Heat, while the San Antonio Spurs are big underdogs on the road against the Toronto Raptors.

Here are our NBA best bets for Wednesday (odds via Caesars, DraftKings Sportsbook, FanDuel Sportsbook, and PointsBet; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

NBA top picks

Total: Warriors-Trail Blazers Over 234.5 (-110 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐

Golden State has hit the Over at a higher percentage than any other team in the NBA this season, going 32-20-2 overall. The Dubs are 19-6-1 on the road, 10-4 as the road underdog, and 15-10-2 following a win. Golden State has scored well against Western Conference teams, going 17-10-1 against them. The Dubs have hit the Over in three straight and five of their last six overall.

Portland has not hit the Over too frequently this season overall, but the team has hit that mark quite often at home. Portland is 11-6-1 as the home favorite and 14-10-2 at home overall. The Warriors will be without Stephen Curry, but that didn’t stop the team from dropping 141 points on Oklahoma City in its last game out. Klay Thompson dropped 12 3-pointers, and when he’s hot, it’s hard to cool him off. We’ll take the Over in this one.

Spread: Pacers +6 vs. Heat (-110 via Caesars) ⭐⭐⭐

The line on this one hasn’t moved much since opening at Heat -6.5, and we’re confident in wagering on the visiting team. The Pacers will have their stars Tyrese Haliburton and Myles Turner available, and Indiana is 2-1 ATS across its last three. The Pacers are just 9-14 as the road dog, but the team has fared well against the Eastern Conference with a 19-13 ATS record.

Miami has been poor ATS at home, going 8-16-2 overall in Miami and 6-15-2 as the home favorite. The Heat are 1-2 against Indiana straight up and ATS in three prior season matchups. The team has failed to cover in each of its last two games. Most surprising, the Heat are just 2-9 ATS in games in which they were favored by at least six points at home. The Pacers can keep this one close and cover, which is what we’re betting on.

Total: Kings-Rockets Over 239 (-110 via PointsBet) ⭐⭐⭐

The Kings and their NBA-leading offense typically sport lofty point totals. Tonight is no different with the Kings facing the Rockets, a team that gives up plenty of points to opponents.

These teams hit the Over in all three prior meetings this season, and both teams have hit the Over in their last two games overall. The Rockets have played in four games at home with a point total of at least 240 and hit the Over in two of them. Sacramento is 4-3 in home games with a point total of at least 240. The Kings have been favored by at least eight points in five games this season, and they hit the Over in all of them. This isn’t a tremendous total to hit, so we can safely bet the Over here.

Spread: Raptors -10.5 vs. Spurs (-110 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐

The Spurs are on a nine-game losing streak as the team heads north of the border to face the Raptors. San Antonio has failed to cover in eight straight games, losing those contests by an average of 18 points and coming in as dogs by an average of 8.4 points per contest. San Antonio is just 9-15 on the road and as the road dog.

The Raptors are 12-9 as the home favorite and 15-12 at home overall. When favored by at least eight points at home, Toronto is 4-1, and when favored by at least 10 at home, the team is 2-1. Toronto beat San Antonio by 43 points in San Antonio on Nov. 2, and we’ll bet on another big win tonight. The Spurs will be without Romeo Langford, Jeremy Sochan is doubtful, and both Keldon Johnson and Tre Jones are questionable. Toronto should have no problem covering against the short-handed Spurs.
