One team comes a step closer to the Grey Cup on Sunday. Find out who it will be with our Calgary Stampeders vs. B.C. Lions Western Semi-Finals CFL Picks.

The Stampeders haven't missed a CFL postseason since 2004. They've represented the West Division six times in the Grey Cup during that span. Once again they find themselves playing a meaningful game in November, only this time against a team looking to regain their familiarity with playoff football.

Head Coach Rick Campbell took the Ottawa Redblacks to the top of the Canadian Football League and looks to do the same with his B.C. Lions. The Lions appeared in the playoffs 20 straight seasons between 1997 and 2016. Since then they've made only one postseason appearance. With their star quarterback returning from injury, they’ll make a run to try and claim the seventh Grey Cup in franchise history.

Here are our best Calgary Stampeders vs. B.C. Lions Western Semi-Finals CFL picks (odds via DraftKings Sportsbook, FanDuel Sportsbook and BetMGM; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Stampeders vs. Lions ML Pick

Lions (-140) ★★★★★

Calgary is 7-3 over its last 10 games including winning four of its last five. The Stamps met the Lions in back-to-back matchups in Weeks 15 and 16. Each team won on the road while losing their home contest. These two clubs met once before in Week 10 with B.C. edging Calgary in a 41-40 shootout in Alberta, giving the Lions a 2-1 regular season advantage.

Both teams enter the postseason with a similar 12-6 record. However, the Lions spent most of the season without star quarterback Nathan Rourke. Five of their six losses occurred with Rourke missing on the field. However, B.C. did manage to win four games with backup QB Vernon Adams Jr., including their 31-29 Week 15 victory. Rourke is back at full strength which is all the advantage the Lions need to win this game.

Stampeders vs. Lions ATS Pick

Lions -1.5 (-110) ★★★★★

The Lions enter this playoff contest as the CFL's second best against the spread, covering in 11 of their 18 regular season games. They beat the spread in their last three outings as the favorite to win. Even more impressive is that they've done so with their backup quarterback. The Lions ended the season scoring just under seven points more than their opponents. Their average margin of victory was 16.8 points in 12 wins.

The Stamps are directly behind the Lions against the spread, covering 10 of their 18 games this season. Calgary is 4-1 in their last five ATS and covered in seven of their last 10 contests. They've only been underdogs in three games and are 2-1 in that situation. In their eight regular season losses, the average margin of defeat was by four points.

Stampeders vs. Lions O/U Pick

Over 50.5 (-110) ★★★★

Calgary ended the regular season as the CFL's highest scoring team overall (562), as well as per game (31.2). They've combined with their opponents to reach the Over in 11 games this year despite allowing opponents to score an average of 22.1 points against them. Two of their last three games surpassed 51 points.

B.C. averaged 29.9 points per game this season and while missing their main offensive weapon finished as the league's third highest scoring team. They've gone Over their projected point total eight times in 2022.

These teams outperformed their totals in four of their last five meetings including games of 56, 81, and 60 combined points.
