Saturday night will see legendary former UFC fighter Anderson "The Spider" Silva take to the boxing ring once again to take on former Youtuber Jake "The Problem Child" Paul. Read on for our top Paul-Silva picks as they capture the attention of the boxing world.

Love him or hate him, Paul moves the needle when he steps between the ropes. Of course, the famous Youtuber hasn’t fought anyone with a purely boxing background, but he’s taken on a few opponents with decent combat sports pedigrees. Paul has a pair of wins over former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, including a knockout win in December.

Silva is widely regarded as the greatest middleweight to ever step foot inside the Octagon. In his prime, “The Spider’s” violence was almost poetic, as he used his fists, elbows, knees, and shins to completely lay waste to a generation of 185-pounders (and some 205-pounders). The now-47-year-old Brazilian moved turned to boxing in 2021; he has since notched victories over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., and fellow former UFC champion Tito Ortiz.

Can Paul continue his undefeated run inside the ring, or will he be caught in Silva's web? Here are our top picks for Paul-Silva (odds via DraftKings Sportsbook and FanDuel Sportsbook).

Paul vs. Silva Odds

(via DraftKings)

Moneyline: Anderson Silva (+175) vs. Jake Paul (-225)
Total rounds: Over 6.5 (-135) | Under 6.5 (+105)

The odds have moved toward Paul throughout the week while the Over 6.5 rounds has also become more heavily favored.

There's a chance the sharper action comes in on Silva, the professional fighter, by Saturday evening, but there's no denying Paul is the public draw and favorite.

Who Will Win Paul vs. Silva?

Silva (+175) ★★★

Originally opening as a slight favorite, the odds have swung and now Silva is the underdog. If this were MMA, or Silva was a decade younger, he’d completely destroy Paul in mere minutes. Alas, Silva is creeping toward 50 years of age and doesn’t have his lethal knees and elbows at his disposal. Still, I expect “The Spider” to emerge victorious. Paul’s a heavy hitter, so there’s always a chance he catches Silva, but the Brazilian has a lifetime of combat sports experience, and likely won’t be intimidated by the Youtuber’s big overhand right.

A southpaw with some length, Silva will use his jab to repeatedly frustrate Paul, who will leave himself open to counters when he tries to load up on that big right hand.

Will Paul vs. Silva Go the Distance?

No (-125) ★★★★

Both Silva and “The Problem Child” possess knockout power. Four of Paul’s five wins have been of the KO/TKO variety, including the aforementioned starching of Woodley, and a brutal smashing of former Bellator MMA champion Ben Askren. Silva racked up 23 KO/TKO’s in his illustrious MMA career, and he has a pair of knockouts in four career boxing matches.

No matter who leaves Gila River Arena with the win, I expect we won’t be seeing the judge’s scorecards.

Paul vs. Silva Winning Method

Silva via KO/TKO (+300)

Paul curates his challengers list carefully, hand-picking the least-threatening opponents with the most name value. Both Askren and Woodley were MMA champions, but they weren’t great boxers. Both had backgrounds in wrestling, and, although Woodley hit hard, he wasn’t known for his boxing prowess. Silva, on the other hand, is a natural striker.

Silva will actually pose a threat to Paul, and is both bigger, and longer than the Youtuber. I expect he’ll use his jab to keep Paul at bay, and when a frustrated “Problem Child” gets wild trying to land a big right hand, “The Spider” will catch him with a crushing counter. He may be 47, but I expect Silva still has the juice to flatten Paul.
