Busch Clash at the Coliseum Picks to win

  • Kyle Busch +800 (via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Tyler Reddick +1500 (via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Justin Haley +7500 (via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐

Who will win the 2023 Clash at the Coliseum?

Kyle Busch (+800) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Busch makes his debut in the No. 8 car this weekend. Last season, he posted the fastest qualifying lap. He then won his heat race and ended up on the pole for the main event. His No. 18 car led the most laps (64) in the inaugural Clash at the Coliseum. Ultimately, Busch finished second in the final race.

Now in a Richard Childress Chevrolet, he'll try to win his third Busch Light Clash race, tying him for second all-time with Kevin Harvick, Denny Hamlin, Tony Stewart, and Dale Jarrett. Busch leads all active drivers in short track wins with 16 (17 if you count the Bristol Dirt track). He's also tied with Harvick for more career wins (60) making him a threat to win anywhere, in any equipment.

Tyler Reddick (+1500) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Reddick pilots the No. 45 this season for the 23XI race team, making the switch from Toyota to Chevrolet. In last year’s Clash, he won the second heat landing him in the front row of the main event alongside Busch. He went on to lead 51 laps of the 150 main race laps until a drivetrain issue ended his day.

Last year, Reddick took home three checkered flags and sat on the pole in three races. The car he now inherits won two races with two different drivers last season. Both Kurt Busch and Bubba Wallace crossed the finish line first at Kansas.

Justin Haley ⭐⭐⭐

Haley is one of the best values for this race. His No. 31 Kaulig Chevy won the third heat race and rolled off the grid from third place in the main event. His run was cut short 34 laps shy of the finish after getting dumped by the No. 5 car. Kyle Larson drove down on the rookie in a battle for third after Haley moved him up the track for the position.

Despite an overall disappointing season for Haley, he's still very much capable of making noise in his second crack at this track. His team brought on A.J. Allmendinger full-time to help grow their young talent. Expect it to pay off early which makes Haley a fun longshot to win.
