The Los Angeles Dodgers and Cincinnati Reds will face off for the sixth time this season on Saturday, and we have you covered with our Dodgers vs. Reds player props based on the best MLB odds.

Home-field advantage seems to play a significant role when the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Cincinnati Reds square off. In their five matchups since May 16, the home team has won the last four.

While the Dodgers enjoyed a red-hot streak not so long ago, winning five consecutive series during which they boasted an impressive 13-2 record, they have cooled off lately, going 2-2 in their last four series.

On the other hand, the Reds are on the struggle bus, currently sitting in last place in the NL Central division. With an 8.5-game deficit behind the division-leading Milwaukee Brewers, the Reds are winless in their last nine series, posting a 0-8-1 record. Their last series victory dates back to April 19-21, when they swept the Los Angeles Angels at home.

To accompany Saturday's MLB Player Props & Expert Picks, here are our best Dodgers vs. Reds player props and MLB picks (odds via our best MLB betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Dodgers vs. Reds expert picks

Walker Buehler to record a win ⭐⭐⭐

Walker Buehler has made just three starts this season following a return from a second Tommy John surgery, and his last one against the Reds was by far his most impressive of the three. After allowing three home runs through his first two starts, Buehler held Cincinnati to just three hits over six scoreless innings and struck out a season-high seven batters.

The most impressive thing about that start was that Buehler’s fastball topped out at 97.1 mph, a sign that he is looking strong post-surgery. He had a 44% CSW% on his two primary pitches (fastball and knuckle curve), which he threw a combined 53% of the time. He is backed by a bullpen that ranks second in the NL with a 3.21 ERA and leads the majors with a .241 BABIP.

The Dodgers are 21-9 in their last 30 games, while the Reds entered Friday cashing the first five innings team total Under in 12 of their last 13 home games (+11.20 units/ 67% ROI). Thus, this three-star play is with confidence that Los Angeles will build a big early lead, with Buehler earning the victory.

Shohei Ohtani Over 0.5 RBIs ⭐⭐⭐

Per MLB’s Sarah Langs, Shohei Ohtani was off to the best start of his career through 50 games in most offensive categories, such as hits, extra-base hits, batting average, runs, total bases, on-base percentage, slugging, OPS, and stolen bases. Not only does he hit behind fellow MVP Mookie Betts, but he is protected in the lineup by Freddie Freeman, who has a .811 OPS or better each month this season.

Ohtani has 15 RBIs in 21 road games this season and is in his better-hitting split against a right-handed pitcher, as he has slashed .359/.439/.711 against righties compared to .307/.354/.480 against southpaws.

Elly De La Cruz Under 0.5 total bases ⭐⭐⭐

Cincinnati’s last-place standing is largely tied to an offense that has struggled to generate consistency this year, as it ranks in the bottom-third of the league in all three slash line categories (average, on-base percentage, and slugging).

De La Cruz has been the only bright spot in the Reds lineup, and his 31 stolen bases are more than the output of half the teams in the league. Keeping him off the basepaths will again be a focal point, and the Dodgers pitching staff got the best of him in Buehler’s last start, as the shortstop went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts. As long as Jeimer Candelario (.220 batting average), Spencer Steer (.390 slugging percentage), and Jonathan India (six extra-base hits before having two on Friday) continue to struggle, there is little need to challenge De La Cruz in this limited Reds lineup.
