The Alabama Crimson Tide are favored by more than two touchdowns on the road against the Wisconsin Badgers. Alabama is a mid-tier contender in the college football championship odds, as is its quarterback Jalen Milroe in the Heisman odds.

The Badgers have beaten two middling teams to start the season, and they looked far from convincing in either matchup. Those two performances are a significant reason why the Alabama vs. Wisconsin early leans and odds show the Crimson Tide are likely to win this game by more than two scores.

But the Crimson Tide endured a lot of trouble last week, too. They defeated the South Florida Bulls 42-16, but that game was 14-13 entering the fourth quarter. So who holds the advantage when these two teams meet on Saturday?

Moneyline

  • Alabama best odds: -350 via BetMGM | Implied probability: 77.78%
  • Wisconsin best odds: +550 via Caesars | Implied probability: 15.38%

There's no value in betting either of these teams on the moneyline. The Crimson Tide struggled last week, but they were likely looking ahead to this Week 3 matchup. And if they play how they did in the fourth quarter, this game will get ugly fast.

If you want to add the Crimson Tide to a parlay, try to wager at BetMGM where they’re currently seeing the best price to win.

Spread

  • Alabama best odds: -15.5 (-110) via DraftKings
  • Wisconsin best odds: +15.5 (-110) via BetMGM

All of our best sportsbooks are offering the same spread and price, so there's no value in picking one over the other at the moment.

Right now, the Badgers are seeing 65% of the bets backing them against the spread. That could lower the line to 14.5, but we don’t expect it to sink further. The Crimson Tide burned a lot of bettors last week, but cooler heads will prevail eventually, and this spread will be -15 or 16 at kickoff.

Over/Under

While the spread is the same everywhere, the total is not. All of our best sports betting sites are offering this number at 51 or lower except FanDuel.

Yet, despite posting the highest number, FanDuel also features the most expensive price for the Over. And despite DraftKings posting the lowest total, it's featuring the best price for the Over.

It’s all very strange. Look for this number to climb ahead of kickoff, even if it only gets up to 52.

This is definitely a lean. But there isn't really a great no-brainer bet out there for this contest. The Crimson Tide are significantly better than the Badgers if they play up to their potential, but that’s uncertain.

The Badgers’ offense isn’t intimidating at all, so the Crimson Tide should be able to hold them in check. Yet, they gave up 16 points to South Florida last week, and those weren’t garbage-time points.

With this game being played in Madison, there’s a chance the crowd will keep their team in the contest longer than the Badgers have any right to be hanging around. But there’s also a possibility the Crimson Tide come out and decimate the Badgers from the start.

We think the second scenario is most likely, so we’ll take the Crimson Tide. But it's a much safer play if you can get this at -13.5.
