Travon Walker's Odds Take Dramatic Shift to go First Overall in 2022 NFL Draft

Georgia Bulldogs defensive end Travon Walker now has the second shortest odds (+140) to be selected first overall in the 2022 NFL Draft at BetMGM

In fact, Walker is also now the sportsbook’s largest liability, as he’s received the highest betting handle to go first overall with 32.7 percent of money wagered.

For comparison, Walker has received 15.9 percent of betting tickets to be selected first overall at BetMGM, and the disparity in the two percentages highlights larger wagers being placed on the Georgia product.

The defensive end’s odds to be selected first overall opened at +3000, so the considerable line movement is probably the result of the recent influx of money wagered on Walker.

Still, at least at BetMGM, the bookmakers have tipped their hand to prospective NFL Draft bettors.

Walker started all 15 games and finished with 33 tackles (17 solo) and six sacks during his junior season with the Bulldogs.

Michigan Wolverines defensive end Aidan Hutchinson (-175) remains the betting favorite to be selected with the No. 1 pick at BetMGM, and he’s received 18.6 percent of betting tickets and 22.2 percent of the money wagered.

It’s also worth noting that Hutchinson opened as the favorite to go first overall with +100 odds at BetMGM, and he is the book’s third largest liability to be selected with the No. 1 pick.
