NFL Division Odds Released

BetMGM released odds for the NFL Division winners on Wednesday, March 2.

It's essential to consider how the NFL Schedule can impact divisional odds. For example, a soft early-season schedule could pave the way for significant line movement.

Additionally, the NFL Schedule will not be announced until May.

Obviously, free agency, the 2022 NFL Draft, and other player transactions will also occur before the regular September season.

Add in the potential for offseason and preseason injuries, and a lot can change before the season even starts.

Much can change over the coming six months.

Still, here's how BetMGM stacked up their 2022 NFL Division Winner odds.

AFC East

Buffalo Bills -185

New England Patriots +320

Miami Dolphins +550

New York Jets +1400

While planting an early flag on the Bills doesn't provide much value at the current odds, a hot start could make -185 look like a steal. It's worth adding New England was only a game back of Buffalo last season, and Miami finished two games behind, so it wasn't a runaway division win for the Bills in 2021.

AFC North

Baltimore Ravens +175

Cincinnati Bengals +200

Cleveland Browns +320

Pittsburgh Steelers +500

Arguably one of the most competitive divisions in the league year-in, year-out, the Bengals were the surprise team of the league going to Super Bowl LVI, and Pittsburgh also made the postseason.

Interestingly, it's the Ravens with the shortest odds to win the AFC North in 2022, though. Expect plenty of line movement if Pittsburgh adds a proven quarterback, too.

AFC South

Tennessee Titans +100

Indianapolis Colts +140

Jacksonville Jaguars +550

Houston Texans +2500

Tennessee has won the AFC South in consecutive seasons, and while there is a lot to like about Indianapolis, quarterback play remains a significant obstacle for the Colts.

Jacksonville can add another franchise-changing talent with the first overall selection again in the 2022 NFL Draft, and franchise-quarterback Trevor Lawrence could take a step forward under new head coach Doug Pederson.

AFC West

Kansas City Chiefs -140

Los Angeles Chargers +375

Denver Broncos +400

Las Vegas Raiders +800

The Chiefs have won the AFC West six straight years, so there might be a little value in their number.

While the Chargers have a lot of promise with Justin Herbert under center, the franchise hasn't won the division since 2009.

Denver's a tough bet until their quarterback situation is settled, whereas Las Vegas has perceived value at this number after making the playoffs this past season, right?

NFC East

Dallas Cowboys -120

Philadelphia Eagles +300

Washington Commanders +450

New York Giants +700

Dallas cruised to a division win in 2021, with Philadelphia the only other winning team and finishing at 9-8.

The Giants haven't won the NFC East since 2011, and they haven't had a winning season since 2016, so their number is probably a little short.

Washington is the question mark due to the potential of their defense to rebound and the possibility of adding an impact quarterback during the offseason.

NFC North

Green Bay Packers -155

Minnesota Vikings +300

Chicago Bears +650

Detroit Lions +800

This is an aggressive number for the Packers, considering the unknown surrounding quarterback Aaron Rodgers' future.

This also creates big numbers for the other three teams. Minnesota and Chicago hired new head coaches this offseason, so a fresh voice could boost.

For what it's worth, the Lions also won their three final home games of the 2021 season.

NFC South

Tampa Bay Buccaneers +140

New Orleans Saints +220

Carolina Panthers +375

Atlanta Falcons +500

Bettors could grab some value in the NFC South, as it could be the division turned upside down the most with Tom Brady and Sean Payton both retiring.

The problem is neither the Panthers nor Falcons have shown much competitiveness over the past number of years. After all, it's been four years since either has had a winning record.

NFC West

Los Angeles Rams +150

San Francisco 49ers +230

Arizona Cardinals +320

Seattle Seahawks +500

The NFC West projects to be one of the toughest divisions in the NFL again in 2022, as three of the four teams reached the postseason last year.

Arizona got off to a 7-0 start last year, and the Rams and 49ers went all the way to the NFC Championship Game before Los Angeles won Super Bowl LVI.

There's some firepower here, and former MVP Russell Wilson, and the Seahawks, shouldn't be brushed under the rug, either.
