Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum has received a considerable recent increase in money wagered on him to win the NBA Finals MVP Award at BetMGM.

Tatum has garnered 13.3% of the betting handle and 8.3% of the total tickets wagered to win the award. He had just 8.2% of the handle and 7% of the tickets two weeks ago at the sportsbook on April 26.

The influx in Tatum MVP tickets and money probably correlates with Boston advancing to the second round of the playoffs on April 25, and the fact that the Celtics were the only team to sweep their first-round opponent.

Boston is currently tied 2-2 in its second-round series with the Milwaukee Buck. Tatum has averaged 26 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 6.4 assists through eight postseason games.
