Steelers vs Colts Preview 

The Steelers and Colts will be featured on Monday Night Football for Week 12 of the NFL season. Neither team is coming in particularly hot, with both teams losing two of their last three games. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. Eastern Time.

Indianapolis Colts

Indianapolis nearly handed the Philadelphia Eagles (11-1) their second loss of the season last week, losing 17-16 and covering a +6.5-point spread. The team has played much better since the return of quarterback Matt Ryan, snapping a three-game losing streak against the Las Vegas Raiders (3-7) and losing by one to the best point team in football.

They continue to rely heavily on running back Jonathan Taylor, who rushed 22 times for 84 yards for 3.8 yards per carry. last game and scored the Colts' only touchdown. The Colts have a much stronger defense than the Steelers, ranking fourth in total yards per game.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Pittsburgh is coming off a 37-30 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals (6-4) where their defense allowed Joe Burrow to pass for four touchdowns, including three to backup running back Samaje Perine. Similarly to the Colts, the Steelers do not have a standout QB and rely heavily on their lead running back Najee Harris. Harris scored two touchdowns last week, rushing 20 times for 90 yards for a respectable 4.5 yards per tote.

Pittsburgh has done a good job stopping the running game (seventh in yards against) but Ryan will look to take advantage of a defense that ranks 31st in passing yards allowed.

Betting Preview

The Colts (-144) are slightly favored by 2.5-points over the Steelers (+122) with the Over/Under set a 39.5. The last matchup came in 2020, and Indianapolis has not defeated Pittsburgh since 2008. The Steelers hold a 3-16 record lifetime against the Colts dating back to 1984 when they moved to Indianapolis.
