Nice way to come out. 1-0.
Anyone feeling wild enough to take Benneteau +2200??

It wasn't a great day for me, either. I had the over. The over would've been locked in had Cilic been allowed to serve after that kick, but Fat Dave decided to call it quits. lol. Luckily I bet it on Bookmaker, which pushes bets if the match doesn't go the distance. In all honesty, though, bookmaker gives terrible lines for tennis matches (moneyline, I mean. The spread/over-under lines aren't that bad, but they only release them on weekends.)Comment -

#45Ouch ... Benny got crossed up a little there when he hit that shot long. I can't fault him for dropping this tiebreak, though. He hit a couple of spectacular shots just to get to 6-6.Comment -

#61EP, you make an excellent point about Benny not being able to pound it for five sets ... Federer needs to take this break and run with it, because the longer this match lasts, the more fatigue, pressure and doubt Benny will feel ... which in turn, would affect his ability to keep pounding winners.
Just for the record, yisman ... I made this post as well.Comment -

#62I got to give him all the credit in the world. I'd play it the same way again though if I can get some half decent at +2200 against Fed. Benneteau could have had it in the 4th set tiebreaker.Comment -

at better than 20/1, why not? I would never bash someone for taking a flier on a longshot. Too many times I've seen underdogs mocked and people saying <insert elite player here> can't lose, and they do.[quote=jjgold;5683305]I win again like usual

#67It's cool man I don't take any offense everyone has their own opinion. I just really don't think this is the same Federer of 3 years ago. I might even take a flyer on Malisse and I am acknowledging that he's 0-9 career against what I consider to be the Old Fed. I'm sure the books will greatly overvalue him again like they did today until they finally get burned.Comment -

As for the no chance, this happens every time someone goes out on a limb. Rosol vs. Nadal, Soderling vs. Nadal, etc. Everyone saying the underdog has no chance.[quote=jjgold;5683305]I win again like usual

It did if you look at the history of how top 3 players in the country do in grand slam tournaments in mens tennis. Soderling actually used to be a great player.Comment
