Janowicz over Gulbis is a lock!
Janowicz @2.52 tomorrow against Gulbis. He won recently on clay against Gulbis and is in excellent form. A lot better than the ranking of 136....BOL if you tail!

Tbh, I think Gulbis beats him easily. You are way underestimating Gulbis. The kid has more potential than most players on the tour. He is at least one class stronger than Jano. Gulbis in his best form can beat any player on the tour (maybe I count out the big 3). Would not even surprise me if he finishes Jano 3:0.

completely agree with this guy. Gulbis has cost me so much money in the past. I always thought he was one of the most talented players I've ever seen, so I kept betting on him in big tourneys and kept losing. Maybe he finally has gotten his shit together.

The thing with Gulbis is: Does he play like he did against Berdych? Easy 3:0 then, and it won't even be close.
Does he come out and play like a clown and don't concentrate? He can lose to any player.
But this match is so far away from being a "lock" as it could possibly be. Calling this one a lock, is just complete bs or comes from a guy who has no idea what he is talking about. Sorry, I'm not a hater and I don't want to disrespect you, but it's no lock. Period.
As I said: wouldn't surprise me one single bit, if Gulbis finishes him 3:0 in a very short time. Maybe I'm even putting a few bucks on him.

I do like it...Gulbis is the kinda guy who will shit any match on any given day, and these types of players are good to fade after they come off an impressive win/upset.

Recent examples of such players include Verdasco and Roddick

I agree with this. Couple of things are for sure

no 1. there is no way Gulbis will put such performance as he did against Berdych. Errors will pile up, drop shots will fail him, 1st serve will fail him, you can just go on with this failing thing...

no 2. he likes to play in front of large audiences and when he likes playing tennis he is a totally different player, but now he is thrown away on some court 16-teen. There is no liking for Gulbis playing there.

no 3. Janowic is one of those Isner-like players who can and most likely will serve big again and again and again... Gulbis might get bored at some point.

I think this will be close game, and it's not so much what Gulbis will do, because he will suck anyways, it's more what Janowizc does. Will he be able to capitalize on Gulbis's errors. I think he will.
Still the odds are not attractive to even consider this bet.

Maybe over is not a bad bet.

I really think you guys are underestimating Gulbis. I can see why as he is pretty much a scrub most of the time, but when he's on, man he is fun to watch. What makes you think this will be a letdown for him? You are just speculating. Gulbis is one of the top 10 players in the world when he has his head on straight and from watching him play Berdych it looks like he does. He is ready to be a winner.

I don't really follow those kinds of trends. A lot of tennis is mental, more than any other sport because you don't have a team to pick you up when you're down. Beating Berdych must be a huge confidence booster and Gulbis now has a coach that seems to understand him and its trying to develop his talent into something special.

Anyway we'll see. Maybe he goes back into his shell like you say. Yes Sport, we are speculating but Gulbis's talent is not speculation.

                          yeah it's all speculation.

i think the fact that gulbis won all three tie-breakers consecutively is a bit of a sign of what's to come, well i hope so. it does take a lot mentally to play three straight tie breakers and win all three especially when playing a top 10 player.

Like i said, i think Gulbis will win anyway, but his performance ain't gonna be that good.

I don't care if his performance is good as long as he wins. He's in a couple of my parlays so I'm crossing my fingers he'll be a good little shit and do enough to get it done.

I love when the word lock is thrown around. It makes me feel that much better about betting the other guy. Gulbis should take this fairly easily in my opinion.

Decided to take Gulbis wins 1st and match @2.1
Like the odds, and if he wins the 1st, I'm pretty sure it's over.
If he loses the 1st, he will most likely lose his motivation, too. And lose the match.

For the last 15 games both players haven't been able to get at least to 30 (two points) on other's serve.
All of the 15 games have either been held to love or 15.

This match is driving me nuts. Pulling for Gulbis. Got him in a parlay with Istomin and Almagro.
