#1647Hard to make a case for that. Djokovic is destroying people and killed Dicky last year on this surface. Even the +5 is iffy to me.Comment -

#1648EP - any thoughts on the doubles semi Lopez/Nadal v Federer/Wawrinka. Lopez and Nadal I think won Indian Wells last year, and from what i´m aware are a pretty decent combo with two other titles together including Doha in Jan earlier this year. Also, Fed and Stan will play each other in the quarter before the game so you´d imagine that their hearts might not be in it too.
The defending champs are the dogs though so that has me a little dubious
Are you leaning any one way or the other?Comment -

#1649Not a bad shot on the dogs I would think. They won Doha this year together. I'm guessing the price is mostly based on how Fed-WaWa killed Nestor-Myrni in the 1st round.Comment -

#1650Nothing today that provides a big edge. Both men's matches can go either way IMO. Big test for DelPo to see if he can beat one of the top 3 as his comeback continues. I think Rafa probably takes him just barely, but would not be surprised if DelPo won if Rafa serves like shit. I think Federer needs this one today against Djokovic for confidence ... but I've thought that before and he got rolled. Hard to go against Djokovic who is definitely playing the best tennis of the men. The Unders today might provide something to look at. Both overs have been super juiced.Comment -

#1651Failed on the doubles unfortunately, but I think it was worth a small shot.
Odds on Fed are moving south fast. 2,58 > 2,36 on BetFair within the space of the last half hour. I like Fed to win this, but he burnt me last time in Dubai and i´m shy to make the same mistake again just one month later.
Two great semis though, and a great final in-store for us as wellComment -

#1654Under cashes in Rafa-DelPo. Over was -160 at 22 games. Made sense to try under. Fed-Djokovic not quite as juiced, but 22.5 for plus money. We'll see how it works.Comment -

#1655ATP: MIAMI QUALIFYING
VAN DER MERWE [-140]
The South Africa draws Bolelli in qualifying today. This surface has been an absolute nightmare for Bolelli in the last year with a 2-9 mark covering him from the beginning of 2010 until now. Van der Merwe hasn't been stellar this season, but he carries a big serve that is capable of carrying him through. He fell in the 2nd round of qualis in Indian Wells last week. For 2011, the South African has at least shown some life while Bolelli looks hapless at this point - losing routinely to players ranked in the 300s or higher.
SMYCZEK [-120]
Smyczek against Sela. Normally I don't feel good going against the Dude, but Smyczek is in better form. He made the 2nd round in Indian Wells last week and lost a tough three setter to Kohlschreiber in losing there. Sela meanwhile is just 4-6 this season and has not looked solid in recent action - losing in the Costa Rica Challenger last week. If Smyczek can bring the tough play he showed last week at Indian Wells, he should survive here.

#16575Dimes has him now at -110 and Bolelli at -130, so yes they have shifted some. A lot of the first matches in qualis have had price swings though, would not read much into that except that there is some action being put on these early ones.Comment -

#1664Oh well. Shit happens. Just glad to split today. Funky line movement all over was just ridiculous. At one point I saw Sela as a -145 favorite/Smyczek +105 and by the time it was close to needing to have bets in -- it was Smyczek -135 off the original -120 line. Fukkin nuts ass shit in tennis. That's why I just stick with my plays, win or lose.Comment -

#1665ATP/WTA MIAMI QUALIFYING
HAMPTON +160
The young American shocked many by beating Marino in straights in qualis yesterday. She showed good consistency and ground strokes from all accounts. She faces Flipkens who also showed well in a 6-2, 6-2 win over Tsurenko. Hampton showed well on hard courts last year on the lower level ITF. Now, she is trying to find her way on the WTA level. She made the main draw at Indian Wells and is seeking to make it back-2-back main draws. Flipkens is a decent player, but like most - will give her opponents chances.
ROCHUS -115
Rochus vs. Smyczek with both in good form. Smyczek as outlined before made the main draw at Indian Wells and showed well in losing to Kohlschreiber. Rochus is here after winning a hard court Challenger in France. Neither was tested in the opening round of qualis. Rochus has been in the main draw in Miami plenty of times and enjoyed a nice run a year ago - maybe good memories carry him in an even match-up.

#1667Ep I dont how the books in their right mind can make Sabine Lisicki that big of a price vs Czink...Sabine hasnt played since an ITF(!) event in early Feb and has played like utter shit the past 2 years since winning charleston and Czink has played her well..Although Melinda did retire in her last match..Still maybe a .25 unit on the +413..Comment -

#1668Hadn't looked at that one yet. That Cirstea-Zheng looked like a good one to avoid. Both with poor serves and in poor form on this surface. Trying to talk myself off Oudin today. The last time or two I actually had a feeling about her as a dog, she won. But this might be the case of me being pissed at Georges for screwing me previously. Dunno, but thinking about little Moo Moo.Comment -

#1670WTA: OUDIN +104
Guilty pleasure perhaps. Little Melanie Moo-udin against Georges. Georges clearly would have been a prohibitive favorite about two months ago when she was playing strong in Australia. Since though, she's lost to some suspect customers since her run in January. Yeah, Oudin isn't in great form or anything - but she does have some confidence from wins over her past two tournaments. Expecting the usual WTA break-o-rama. The price and correlation to the O/U is interesting to me here as the price indicates close to a pick 'em, yet the juice is squarely on the under at -145 for 21.5 games. That would indicate despite the money line price, the books expect a pretty clear and quick winner. Maybe it's too easy and Georges rolls, but I'm gettin' my Moo on.
