Haha, that's awesome! Puts the $10 I threw on her for fun to shame. I felt she could keep it close and even win a set but I really didn't think she'd have the guts to close it out. Then again, when someone throws 60 UEs your way along with however many DFs, you don't really have to do much to win. Kim just wasn't ready for this tournament and you could see it in her first match. Good on Rus for taking her out.

Good job with the futures! I'm pretty sure I had Kim going quite far in the contest so that's gone to shit now.

What do you think about Rosol/Melzer? To me Melzer should have no problems so there's no point in my hedging the futures yet but quite a few people think differently so I'm starting to worry I've missed something.

Cool. That's what I figured but I was starting to get wigged out a bit because it seems some people think Rosol has a shot. I just really need Anderson to beat Chela so Anderson will be a decent dog against Melzer (if he gets through) and I can start to hedge out there. I really don't see Melzer going down today.

Kirilenko's a bit of a headcase and can be inconsistent but Scheepers inconsistent as well so it's a bit of a toss up which player will show up on any given day. I looked at this match for quite awhile but didn't feel comfortable taking anything. Still wouldn't be surprised to see Kirilenko throw the match away somehow

Shari, don't you get the feeling that Mattek is going to come to play HARD tomorrow? This is her big chance to finally make the grade here on the big stage. Cant imagine what she is going to wear. Personally I'm hoping for the eye black and softball knee high black socks. But fashion aside, she is playing the best tennis of her career right now. Her playing style wouldn't seem to conform to clay, but with these new balls I think she is going to go for broke.She could have 40 unforced errors and still win. I don't ever trust Jankovic either. I dont really have a handicappers breakdown of this match, more or less a feeling of stars aligning for Bethanie at the right time.
Mary-Jo Fernandez actually said she likes her to win, although I never trust ESPN announcers for jack shit, but at +330(line is dropping too), might we see a shari .5 unit play on it?

I've been a fan of hers for awhile now and I think she can really give Jankovic a good contest. On the positive side she's a hard hitter so the new balls obviously suit her - which she said as well - and she's aggressive which can force Jankovic into UEs. Flipside is clay isn't her best surface and I haven't seen much of the typical Jellohead behaviour from Jankovic the past couple of weeks. Without looking at any stats I'd say that I'll probably take the handicap if it's decent and put a bit on the ML but I'll have to wait until tomorrow to see what kind of handicap I can get here.

I honestly don't know. They're both playing Frenchies which is a bit of a worry if they can get a boost from the crowd to fight through a few games. Gun to my head I'd say Sharapova but if I were going to do it, I'd probably bet both. I still might just for some action for half a unit each.

I personally wouldn't lay that much chalk though. Maybe try to find something else to pair him with to cut it down a bit.

Dolgo - I think he should win this and everything I look to points to a win. But... I can't shake him saying last week that he didn't feel 100% so at that price I'm not going near him. Maybe him and Simon and just flat bet it?
