Ok, now that the silliness is out of the way can someone explian what happened in the last set? I realise Li lost but my son and I are locked out of our hotel room and I've been waiting for ages for the security guy to come let us in.

Clijstersss! hey, Shari, sorry Li did not take it all but for a "non-pro" you sure make some pretty good picks and observations. i enjoy following your thread and YEAH.. i like it that you do try to keep it light & fun. do i factor your picks into my own - yes. do i blindly follow and go against my own "hunches" - nope. all in all, i'm glad your thread exists because it's extremely beneficial for newbies like me.

Li got kinda frustrated... in the previous matches she used her frustration/anger/yelling to help her bounce back into the game but it didn't seem to work as effectively this time. Clijsters was sweating wayyy too much (but in a good way) -- afterburners at 150%. maximum steam. heck, i could have a very expensive silk suit on and still hug that woman.

Thanks guys! I managed to catch Kim's studio interview with Jo and Stubbsy. Looks like she'll be back here next year which is great. Now hopefully Serena will be back soon and the two of them can kick some ass to get these rankings sorted out.

Clijsters' defense frustrated Li since the later part of the 2nd set. Slice backhand didn't work much, then lots of moon balls. For a second I thought Li turned Clijsters to Wozniaki. Clijsters' strategy worked and Li lost her rhythm. Clijsters started attacking. Experience really counted. A good match for a womens GS final.

Lol! They said that stat here too in the middle of the second set. And also something like Kim was 39% in Slams after she lost the first set. I listen to them as far as I hear them but I completely ignore the stats commentators pull out. Too many timea I've heard them come back and say "well that stat is gone" or even "oops sorry" for me to even bother anymore. If Seth hadn't have fallen in love with Stubby's voice - don't worry I'll drive that out of him - I would've muted the sound for the part of the match we managed to see. The commentators are terrible.

Bruce - yes. Way too much bias for 'commentator's' and it looked so weird when she went in for the hug again. You'd never see that in other countries when the player isn't from there. And not a smart move on their part considering how many Asians make up the Australian population.

Tommy - So pissed I couldn't go this year. This house thing really stuffed me but at least it's all sorted and Seth's still practicing with his Hanescu Hopman Cup ball from last year. Hopefully my little dude can live up to the hype.

No clue. I know I'm up 13k in my account but as far as I track on here everything will be a $100, $50 or $25 play when I can access the sbr spreadsheet despite my min bet being $200 on MLs. I never encourage anyone to bet big with me so even though the plays I said I was going big on the past two weeks won and one pushed, I'll still only count them as a one unit play even though everyone would know they're not. Not worried about my record on here as I'm not a tout so even though I'll horribly shortchange myself, i could honestly care less! I'll let you know when it's updated.

Ah - wish I could see it. The little YouTube play icon is broken. But this is the thing with me and it always happens which is why I've been trying to correct it. I've said it in here 100+ times and even said it in that thread I started for ne tennis bettors - the first round I may do well or I might get killed. Hard to gauge people's form and motivation. Middle of the tournament - I usually do quite well. In fact, I've never posted throughout a tourney on here that I've lost money on at the end of the week. But that's ONLY because I always go small at the end. I am terrible at the end. Sometimes I'm even terrible at the beginning. The middle stages pull me through and that's why you'll see me specify big, medium or small. At the beginning of this thread I posted my units. At that point one unit equalled $500 for me. No one knew that and even though this was only supposed to be a one day thread, I didn't turn around and say I made such and such, thanks for coming out. Either the next day or the day after I posted plays and one of them was a 6x play. The only reason I went 'big' was because one player had accepted money to guarantee a result but decided during the match that since they had a chance to win straight up, they were going to go for it since the payees made the cardinal mistake - they paid less than the player would be guaranteed for winning that match. Game over. I honestly haven't looked back at the beginning for ages bit I'm positive you'll see myself and another poster talking about it. Regardless, at that point I said I would never post units again unless someone asked me straight up. Even though most people would've assumed I lost $600, I lost $3k and I was still more worried about everyone else's bets. Never will I post proper units wagered again. This is a fun thread. That is all. I hope people enjoy coming in here and posting their opinions without the fear of being ridiculed. I also hope they find a little value out of what I have to say from time to time. That's all. As I've said to others, I think they confuse the tennis forum with other subforums on here. Yeah you get the occasional guys who are crying out for attention because they posted a winning play even though the last one they posted was wrong but for the most part it's just people trying to make a few bucks without bignoting themselves. My thread is full of posters who win. They like talking to me about plays and I love having people to talk to about tennis. Nothing more than that

Yeah you offer a great thread here to followers and/or informative debate from other posters to chime in on. I like the way you think in a lot of ways when it comes to betting. You really see the big picture it seems as far as pulling out a profit in your style of betting. That is HUGE !!! Most bettors this can take decades to figure out or never. I believe I am in the stages of trying to grasp this process in order to better myself as a handicapper. Hun .......... Thanks for your explanation above.

I really hope he at least wins the 1st set, that way we got a chance to hedge out if he has one of those moments.

But to be honest the way he kept his composure vs Federer it's clear he's improved the mental part of his game.
