#9138Patty, I don't expect anyone to kiss my ass. And if you actually read this damn thread instead of only posting in it to get your daily points and to laugh at plays after the fact, you'll see that everyone else is contributing something BEFORE the match, including their own plays. Amazing that I never saw you during the past two weeks congratulating us on massive winners or even just posting insight at all. But during the semis, when I said in here about 50 times as well as other places that I only bet small because matches tighten up, laughing when I lose won't get you the reaction you're hoping for. I honestly have no problem with arguing with you elsewhere but keep it out of my thread. I have to call in live bets so I don't have time or patience for this. Best of luck.Comment -

#9141Djokovic is going to murder either one of these 2 in the final. Shari didn't you have a future on Djoko? I took him at +720, if you do have the future let me know I got a question about hedging later on. Thanks.Comment -

#9142Shari I am contributing and trying to help by saying that if they haven't played a tie break in 12 matches and the odds are still set to favor a tie break in the match that it's not a gift. You may not take it as contribution since thats not what you want to hear but regardless it's me trying to point out basic psychology of gambling.Comment -

#9146I wish I had a future on him!! But sadly I told other people to take him but I didn't. I'm usually pretty crappy with futures so I rarely bet them. I only have the Li future which is basically unhedgeable unless I take Kim 2-0, 2-1 so I might just ride it out. Congrats on yours though - from what I've seen tonight I think you have a good chance of cashing that one.Comment -

#9147@Apricotsinner - they´ve played two tie breaks before in eleven sets of tennis prior to today. Whathisface was wrong before, and posted stats from a possible Djok/Murray final instead.

Notice how there's no arguing in here? Even when people are on the opposite side of me or each other, no one is acting like a know it all after the fact. That's PT and the NBA/MLB forum stuff. Doesn't matter. I'm done responding to this. With all of your chatter I'm assuming you're on Ferrer. As I don't have a side in this one, I hope a miracle happens and you cash that value bet.Comment -

#9152To be honest, I didn't even see his post until after we'd made the bet and I logged back on here. There just wasn't much else that we liked paying plus money. We were debating that, first ace or Ferrer to win a set and figured we'd go the tiebreak as I actually thought the sets would be a lot like how the last two are panning out regardless of who won them. Just a bad bet - it happens. If it didn't I would be a zallionaire and sure as hell not posting on here.
Yeah, but the point I was getting at was that Apricot should get his facts right before slinging sh1t around.. "no tie break in 12 matches" is way off. And when people write sh1t like that, people read it, remember it and possibly bet it later on and it´s completely wrong!Comment -

Very true. Considering they've only played each other 5 times before today, 2 TBs out of those 5 would probably lead you to the 'square' play. And since they had two in this match seems like the square play would've won. Unfortunately I took the other side and lost.
Patty just likes to come in here and talk shit about a sport he knows little about. I don't mind doing it elsewhere but I'd prefer he kept it out of my thread as this thread is large enough as it is. No need to fill it with posts that don't help all.Comment -

#9158Crappy match? Really? This is a much better match than the federer/joker match come on shari get your head outta your ass. They haven't played a tie break in 12 matches and you think the bookies put the line at +100 for no reason? Shari you fall right in to the traps you sucker

#9159HA!-- i actually entered my taxes twice before the match was over!!
okay-- how does one play these "deuces bets" to profit, and when are they offered? and which online book offers them??, because i have only ever seen the rare Tiebreak yes/no.
umm.. as for that tiebreak, i would have put it on No also if i reacted sooner. it seemed like a very good one because of the way Ferrer was playing vs. injured Nadal & the clips i have seen of Murray. (of course they only show the amazing stuff.) i totally expected the game to be something like Murray: 6-3, 6-4, 3-6, 7-5.
of course he was fairly amazing towards the last one. guess he finally got unbloated from drinking so much, hah. i'm not entirely convinced Djok can win. i would totally do Murray +1.5 if i could find it, if it's a good price, if i had lots to spare...Comment -

#9162This is why you do your own research instead of tailing someone 'blindly'. I hope not too many of you made that mistake today. I really thought I was contributing... until realizing the stats I posted were for Djokovic vs Ferrer rather than Murray vs Ferrer.
OOPS!
If someone doesn't have access to stats of their own or can't quite find a source online they feel comfortable with, they can always PM me or ask in here and I'll do my best to help you out if I see it in time.
Davus, I play the deuces and "will there be a break this GAME" bets at Centrebet. When I see a player start to struggle to hold serve a few games, I start playing the yes deuce bet. And with murray last night after he got broken back right after he broke Ferrer, I played the yes bets each time he served after a break because he looked like ass. I think that worked 3 or 4 times in a row before I stopped. Live betting is dangerous though and I wouldn't recommend it to most people.Comment -

#9164I honestly don't know yet Tommy. I'm still trying to figure out what in the hell I'm going to do here. I just read somewhere that Kim said she thinks during her Sydney loss to Li that she was worrying too much about her first round match here with Safina. So for the first time ever I have to call bullshit on Clijsters since even a qualie wouldn't have been too concerned about Safina to the point they'd lose focus in a final. I'm still waiting for someone to get back to me after they're done checking my numbers. Right now I've come up with Li's price being the play which would definitely make the +4 a play. But doing a lot of stuff on my phone makes me worried I may have missed something.Comment -

#9165My suggestion would be go small. IMO numbers don't matter any more in a situation like this, GS final. Mental preparation is the key, which we as cappers, have no clue but to guess.
I think Li's only chance to win is to play like Schiavone at last year's French Open final, not any other rookies at their first GS final in their lives, as we have seen so many times. Li is actually older than Clijsters, but everyone knows Clijsters is much more experienced.
Their last meeting in Sydney, could do both good and bad on both sides.
Time will tell.Comment -

#9166Labrador, there's not a hope in hell I'd go big in a final. Especially a women's final.
And I hope anyone who has followed my thread for awhile would play small or pass as well.
I'm trying to figure out what to do with my Li futures bet. That's where the numbers are mainly coming in.Comment -

#9167A breathe of fresh air in this thread, a little more realistic in here. I'm seeing other threads that are thinking Clijsters is a lock, WTF? They may be in for a shock.
On another note, Clijsters thinking of her 1st round match in the Sydney Final? Is that not the biggest crock of shite ever? Even if it is the case, it only shows how easy it is for her to lose concentration!
I hope Li, Na brings home the bacon!Comment -
