After checking my thread this morning, I went through all the tennis ones and when I got to TB's, I saw him mention something about Murray and his skirt. Right then I had a feeling something glorious happened but I almost feel a bit guilty that I was so excited to click over to TI to see that result.

I just watched part of the Venus/Peer match to try to get a gauge of Venus' form for the next round. The only thing I could focus on was that ridiculous outfit Venus is wearing. I'm all for being an individual and trying to add some flair to a rather traditional sport but that is ridiculous. She looked like she should've been performing in some ladyboy show in Thailand rather than playing in a Grand Slam match on a court named after one of the legends of the sport. Show some respect Venus!!

Watched that whole match. Venus playing a lot of serve and volley like Federer. Lets not forget she is a legend herself and will go down as one of the greatest woman's tennis players ever next to her sister.

She is not a legend yet. Legends are Navratalova, Graf, Billie Jean King... You're not a legend while you're an active player. For now she's a chick playing tennis who somewhat dominated for a couple of years until her baby sister came on the scene and stole her thunder. Twenty years from now she'll be remembered more for the fact that her and her sister played at the same time and for their combined successes as siblings than Venus will be on her own. "Remember when no one else could win because Serena and Venus were winning everything". Serena will be remembered as a legend of the sport - Venus as someone who played a great match when she wanted to but was overshadowed by Serena. Just my opinion anyway.

Yes, I'm on her. Keep in mind though that if she loses today, I'm going to double up on my bet against Demented in the next round.

I feel pretty good about Sammy getting it done though.

I'm still thinking about this one. Very hard match to call and the odds are reflecting that. Woz has the confidence and momentum but Sharapova is so aggressive that I'm a bit wary as to how Woz will handle that. Mind you Sharapova makes UE's out the wazoo and Woz won't let her get away with that if she's on her game.

Not sure yet as you can tell.

Best of luck Mikail. I'm just hoping for a good match either way. So sick of these crappy WTA breakfests or blowouts that hopefully these 2 can live up to their seeding and actually play well.

She definitely needs to sort out her forehand quickly though. If she doesn't, Demented's just going to keep targeting it and she's going to be stuck relying on her serve and backhand to save her ass.

this match is pretty infuriating no matter who you have. that pretty much sums up WTA though
