Hi,
A bit background. Been doing tenniscompiling for years (only punter now), will try and make a thread where I can follow up during the year. I will use a unit scale from 1-3 very limited as you see. But I prefer to have it like that, where 1= ok bet 2= good bet and 3 = excellent bet I normally look for value in dogs, although there can also be plenty of value in favorites. You will also see me giving a small reasoning for my plays, prefer doing that. I will mostly focus on ATP and WTA, but sometimes even challengers.
Time to start.
TAMIRA PAZCEK (against Safarova) WTA Paris @ 2.59 Pinnacle 3 units
I been waiting for this match. Safarova is returning from injury and is a marginal player. She played the first rubber in the FEDCUP against Groenefeld, and was truly awful. Although Groenefeld served really well, the unforced errors were just flying around from Safarova. Safarova is at the moment far away from her best form, and although Pazcek has no kind of form, she should have a great chance here for an upset. Its never easy regrouping from FEDCUP, especially considering that Safarova was dropped after that first horrible match.
BJORN PHAU (against Chardy) ATP San jose @ 2.75 Stan James 1 unit
Im personally not a big favorite of Phau, but the german is a good indoor player and has been showing some form lately. The same can not be said about Chardy that has four 1st round losses now and hardly beat anyone. His potential is there, but he really
has not had a breakthrough after looking so promising some time back. Phau should truly fancy his chances here.
TAMARINE TANASUGARN (against Kudryavtseva) @ 1.76 Pinnacle 2 unit
Tanasugarn normally only performs on grass, but you can Expekt here to give full throttle at home infront of a very supporting crowd. She was amazing during the Fedcup @ home, beating among others Shvedova in straight sets. These two have a 1-1 h2h record, but goes back to 2006. Expekt Tanasugarn to continue her form at home, and win against a player with a somehow questionable form, not played since Aussie Open.
