#253Well congrats Ulver - it was about time you picked a few winners. As far as the "keep the storytelling coming you're like reading the bible a great tale of fiction" goes....It could be fiction unless its just as easy as going back a few pages in this thread and reading about the picks u made - its hard to make that stuff up....i guess you are just saying that your memory is like that of a mosquito and you only want to talk about the here and now....
My only pick that hit (of the 4 I suggested - not hundreds as have been rumoured) was Djokovic in straight sets....believe it or not this has not put me in a van down by the river but I will keep the option in mind Ulver - you seem to have some experience.
This would be the first time where your picks have trumped mine since I've started posting so enjoy it and we will see what you come up with next.Comment -

#254My pick for today is Djokovic over Simon at -338 *odds dropped WIN
Djoker has beaten Simon three times in a row all on hardcourt including one in Shanghai last year. I had Djokovic winning this tournament from the beginning so I will take him over Simon here. Djokovic is 41-9 over his last 50 hardcourt and Simon is 35-15. Both are good on hardcourt but the edge here goes to Djokovic. (medium play for me)Last edited by Tsonga; 10-16-09, 09:35 AM.Comment -

#255you've posted picks for like 3 days, don't get carried away with yourself, its a marathon not a sprint, you've basically been on my case on 1 week of bad picks, but w/e your agenda is doesn't matter to me, you are high comedy at its finest with your works of fiction and talks of plays you made the day after it happened, like telling us you knew it would rain the day after a thunderstorm
more chalk from you, as expected, thats the only thing you're confident in picking is straight chalkComment -

#256psst - the favorite sometimes winsand any favorite at all is referred to as chalk. 1 more thing - the only one making up stories is you - you are the king of hyperbole - i haven't seen one post without it...i at least congratulate you for what you are good at...and where are you picks today? can you do two days in a row?

#257Davydenko -280 (3u)
The most focused he's been in years, davy is playing his strongest tennis now. Meanwhile, Stepanek has looked disinterested the past few tourneys, only winning his last match because Wawrinka was hampered by an ankle injury.
Mirza +375 (1u)
I love taking odds in women's tennis by and large because the women can't hold serve worth shit. Mirza has been playing exceptional lately and should be game for Bartoli.
Wozniak +350 (1u)
Wosniaki is good (and cute) but shes not a player that will dominate and you. Woznkiak stands a fair chance here.Comment -

Djokovic -220 (1u)
Both players are playing extremely well, Djoker outclasses Davy though, most likely will be a 3 setter.Comment -

#272I hit on both of my picks last night - Ulver looks like you got your mens tennis pick right. I had Davy for the first set and another one with him to win 1 set.
I am going with Djokovic and Nadal with Djokovic winning the final. Nadal is 4-1 versus Lopez and has won 4 times in a row with his only loss being 6 years ago when Nadal was only 17 years old. Lopez is playing great but Nadal is mentally tougher and knows what it takes to win big matches and get in the heads of other players.
Djokovic has a decent record against Davydenko and should be able to take him out but it will be a really competitive match - 3 sets and the over is very possible.
