    Starting with $100

I really don't like posting plays on SBR because it seems like SBR is nothing but a jinx for me. I did keep a baseball thread for a little while a couple years ago and it was decent. I also started a tennis thread over a year ago where I tried to grind it out with $20 and it lasted a short while until Gulbis punked Del Potro in L.A. This time I'm going to try again and start off with $100 and see if I can grind it out for a while. I'm definitely going to start off by parlaying chalk. Some big fukkin chalk. It's not the smartest thing in the world but I'm going to try and slowly get the balance up. When/If I do get the balance up I will start taking some shots including some nice dogs. My bets will obviously be small at the start. Gonna just try and grind it up slowly. It's the start of the season and dangerous to go too big I think. The players haven't played in a while and aren't going to be in their best form. You also have to wonder how much effort they are going to put out at the start of the new season and the Aussie Open is just weeks away. There is no real reason to bet big yet. I will wait for the Aussie Open to go big (if I have any money left) . I will also be utilizing some open parlays. I like doing some open parlays with big chalk. Especially in the Grand Slams.

    Play for 12/29/2012:

Starting a 5 team open parlay.
    Risk: $5.00
    1. Serena Williams -1700* vs Varvara Lepchenko Winner
    2. Su-Wei Hsieh -330* vs Melinda Czink Winner
The other 3 spots are open.

    Record 0-0
    Bank: $100

Open Parlays in tennis are awesome. More people should use them.

Not a whole lot that I like so I will start off with a 5 team open parlay.
    Risk: $5.00
    1. Serena Williams -1700* vs Varvara Lepchenko
    2. Su-Wei Hsieh -330* vs Melinda Czink
The other 3 spots are open.

Su-Wei Hsieh worries me but he she had a really great year last year and Czink really struggled. Hsieh playing in China hopefully helps her. Hopefully the bitch doesn't start me off with a loss. I just didn't see anything else that I wanted to risk with.

Yeah I have been using them for about a year. Been pretty successful with them. I'll start risking more and doing bigger ones when we get some better tournaments going.

Don't overlook the dogs for these pre-Aussie Open tournies. Especially the women.

I think you could split your hundred betting against #1 seeds in all the early rounds and be pretty sure to come out ahead.

I probably won't bet very much at all really. Unless it's someone really reliable. Not sure who is going to be playing in these 250 tourneys.

Well both won in straights. Su-Wei Hsieh took control early but then it turned into nothing but service breaks basically. WTA in mid-season for I guess. Serena won with ease.

Any betting before the Australian Open really is a crapshoot. People can tell you that they make money that way, but it is pure luck. You've got guys/gals working on their game and different things so results are going to vary. Certainly you might be able to see who is more focused if they play a few matches early, but otherwise - it's a coin flip. Always smart to tread light in the first month. Cannot believe the Aussie Open is just a couple weeks away ...

Agreed EP. Murray is the highest ranked player in Brisbane and then it's a real drop off. He won in last year so he might actually try to win. There is also a tournament in Qatar. It looks like Ferrer might be the highest ranked player and then a drop off. I'm kind of surprised that there aren't more top players playing in Qatar. The purse is more than 2.5X higher than the other tournaments going on at the same time.

I don't have live betting. I'm also just grinding it.

    Play for 12/30/2012:

Filling slot 3 of the open parlay: Novak Djokovic -1750* vs Andreas Seppi

Seppi worries me some because he really upped his game and had a good last half of the year last season. Caught on clay and then carried it forward. However, Djokovic is 9-0 against him. The price is high and doesn't add much value but oh well. I want to finish this parlay off. Might add another play or 2 before the night is over.

I would love to keep on editing my original post and post each days play and record there but apparently you can't edit posts after 24 hours. Sucks!

    Play for 12/31/2012:

    5 team parlay
    Risk $10 for $7.89

    1. Serena Williams -2200* vs Alize Cornet
    2. Petra Kvitova -235* vs Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova
    3. Na Li -1550* vs Mandy Minella
    4. Agnieszka Radwanska -1375* vs Greta Arn
    5. Venus Williams -1950* vs Mathilde Johansson

Probably also going to fill out the open parlay as well. Waiting for another line to come out.

I almost faded Kvitova in her 1st match. Hope I didn't make a mistake by taking her tonight.

Kvitova is always fadeable to me. She's just 5-5 in her last 10 matches going back to last season. Pavs isn't a bad player either. Pavs is 2-4 against Kvitova so it could definitely happen.

Kvitova broken in both of her first two service games. Should have stayed away like I did in her last match. I don't trust the bitch.

Kvitova just got bounced in straight sets. I just hate that bitch. I stayed away from her in the 1st round because I didn't trust her, why didn't I just stay away again?

Thanks man. They played each other once and it was pretty competitive. All of Brown's matches this week have gone 3 sets so hopefully we both hit.

I'm still pissed off at Kbitova!

Brown took the 1st set 7-5. Ferrer is looking like shit against Brown's 2nd serve. Gonna lose the open parlay on the last play.

Wow Puig is coming out strong. She's just hammering the ball. Broke Kerber in the very first game after like 5 break points. Uh oh.

Open parlay is gonna go down with Kerber. Lost the open set 6-3 and won only 1 service game. Puig is crushing the ball and Kerber isn't handling it very well. Kerber also can't serve for shit. Can't buy a first serve and has 5 double faults in just 4 service games.

Kerber wins 9-7 in the 3rd set tiebreak! That was a horrible win but I'll take it. Keep note of Puig tho. Chick has a lot of talent. Look out for her in the Aussie Open because she could cause some trouble for somebody. She's also hot. Good looking with nice , ass, and legs.

Djokovic got knocked off by Tomic. Not hugely surprising. Djokovic has already played a lot in the past week or two. Is does knock out the parlay tho after sweating out the Kerber match. The Li/Cohen over did hit easily tho.

    Play for 1/2/2013:

Going to try and put together another 20 team all chalk parlay. Betting is gonna slow down as the Aussie Open is close.

    Risk: $5
    1. Andy Murray -3550* vs John Millman
    2. Tomas Berdych -1600* vs Somdev Devvarman
    3. Victoria Azarenka -1900* vs Ksenia Pervak
    4. Serena Williams -1830* vs Sloane Stephens

I don't really trust Berdych but Devvarman is shit. He is playing in his home country tho. Serena kind of worries me too. Not sure of her motivation and Stephens has played well so far.
