If my book had those odds like they did for the men, I would have been all over that. I was considering Dent over Lopez, Tipsarevic over Serra, Ivanovic over K.Bondarenko and Safarova over Schynder. Wondering if I should just make one big parlay of all of them or not.These are all just leans and I am not sure if I am confident enough in any of those matches that I would bet them straight up.
There havent been any major upsets yet in this tournament but the favorites that are winning are not really worth the big prices you have to lay on them. Might just stick with a parlay each day until the odds are more reasonable. Unfortunately Pinnacle doesnt allow overnight parlays so I am going to have to try to wake up early and put one together.The four matches picked above all have very low odds so the payout would be fairly good on that.

Dont really have enough faith to bet these plays individually so I am just going to parlay them together. There isnt much else worth betting as far as the prices go.I was looking at adding Petrova to this parlay but she is in the -400s and its not really worth it. Hopefully there will be some better lines out in a couple days then the betting will become a bit more aggressive.

Decent sized upset with Witten beating Andreev...in straight sets. Guess it isnt a good idea to play deep into a shit tournament the week before a major if you get beat in the first round.Obviously he got his money in the prior tournament so he doesnt give a shit.
Safarova/Schnyder match is tight right down to the end so maybe its good I slept in and didnt get on safarova in time.

Womens tennis is so bad.Luckily alot of the girls are hot or else it wouldnt be watchable. If I was a tennis coach I would get a player and tell her to hit the ball back into the center of the court every ****ing shot and just wait for the opponent to make the error.With that type of mentality, you could easily get that girl to within the top 20 players in the world. Hell Simon got to within the top 10 with that type of strategy on the mens side
Womens tennis is just to stressfull to watch really.At least if you watch the men you feel confident that if you get a break that your player should probably be able to hold his serve but in womens tennis each individual game anything can happen and it doesnt matter who serves or notComment -
I think something was fishy with the Andreev one personally. Some people are probably out to kill the guy. I saw the price went from something like -625 at my book to over -800 at match time. Ouch. I only used the putz in a parlay. I liked F.Lopez over Dent, but they both have issues. I just thought Lopez had the more consistent serve. To ever find out that players lives were threatened or players gambled on matches would never surprise me. One of the most shocking examples was when the people broke into chakvetadzes home and stole a bunch of money and beat up her father.At that time, she was in the top 10 and since then she loses almost all of the time. I have a bunch of players that I have stored in the back of my mind that I will not back at big odds ever. Sure the big favorites win most of the time but for some players its just not worth the risk to lay alot on a player to win a minimal amount because the one time they do lose the match you are screwed.
Safina found a way to win the match but my outright bet on her looks like money washed down the toilet at this point. She is one of the players that I will never back at big odds but if I can get some decent outright odds on her I will take them.

Well that concludes another decent day at the US Open. Have been looking through the lines and here is who I like for tomorrow:
Ag Radwanska -216 over Kirilenko
Radwanska is 1-0 head to head vs Kirilenko. Kirilenko is one of the hottest girls on the tour and in every tournament I am hoping that she wins all of the time so I can watch her play but she continually bows out in the first or second round of every tournament. Radwanskas serve is what always scares me but really no girl in the wta has a decent one so ill ignore that. Going to include this play in my parlay for tomorrow
Mauresmo -230 over Wozniak
Amelie has been playing alot better tennis lately which is good to see. I dont think she will be regaining the number one ranking or anything BUT when she plays she is playing pretty well. She took a big break after wimbledon and that was why she lost in the first round in Toronto.I watched that match and she was totally out of it and rusty. Last week she had a good showing in New Haven and she will carry on that play into the US Open. Wozniak has been inconsistant to say the least. She has won only 4 of her last 10 matches. Of those four, she beat Mattek who had a 10 match losing streak until the US Open here, Granville, dushevina and Suarez-Navarro. Nothing good at all. Any player of any ability has beaten her lately. Looking for this to possibly be in straight sets. Going to add this play to my parlay.

I was looking at the Safin match and part of me wants to bet him because he is a dog, Melzer isnt that great and its Safins last US Open. SO many times though Safin has let me down, especially in the last two years, that it makes me hard to bet him. Will think about that play but will probably pass in the end
Guccione -140 over Cuevas
Ok Cuevas was injured last week and retired in his match vs Melzer, though he had a real good showing in the tournament before he retired. Will his shoulder be a factor?Tough to call.Maybe he didnt want to chance further injury with the US Open the week after.Injury aside both players are coming into the US Open playing relatively well. Guccione has alot more experience on hardcourts.He has played 150 matches on them as compared to Cuevas who has played only 33 times on hard court. (Mainly a clay courter). Going to give the advantage in this match to Guccione. Will add him to the parlay
Cant make the parlay until tomorrow morning so hopefully I get up early enough this time to make it. Had I got up this morning to make the parlay I originally wanted I would have lost with Safarova losing. Sometimes sleeping in works out haha.

I can't back Mauresmo at over -200 personally my man. The end of her 1st round match is why. She yacked hard and tried to give it up, but was fortunate to be playing a mug who couldn't take advantage. Wozniak isn't super, but she is no slouch either. Ive been looking over whats left for the day and there isnt much that really jumps out at me. Guccione over Cuevas seems like a good match to bet but I dont have that much confidence in it. I tried to parlay all of the big favorites like Nadal, Del Potro, Venus....but the parlay paid -330 which wasnt really worth it. I think I may just stick to in-play bets for today. I like Guccione as well, there's some question about Cuevas' shoulder heading into the match. I already got rolled with Chardy losing badly. Melzer is down a set. Llodra did break Kiefer early, so maybe that will be a positive start for me for at least one match. I'm gonna see how these two that I have going currently play out. If I win one, I'll probably lay some on Guccione. The surface should suit him & Cuevas isn't a hard court player. That should negate endurance issues for me in this one as I think Guccione could take it in 3 or 4. Just hope Cuevas doesn't retire.Comment -

Remember how I have quoted many times that Ginepri should not be favored at -900 or more vs anyone?Well he is currently tied a set a piece and down a break in the third set. Not good for Ginepri.He is very very poor.Thought I heard that Pavel is favored 750 or something? I believe he won a tournament or something long ago so he gets an exemption to all of these tournaments and that is why he is even in here.He is always in the majors and always loses right off the bat.Dont quote me on that exemption but I am pretty sure i have heard that somewhere before.

Looking at the lines for tomorrow and I must admit, not that much looks great to me. I will get up early though to get a parlay in. I have been saved the last two days by waking up late and seeing bets I would have made lose but that was just getting all of the bad plays out of the way. Good day coming for thursday and here is what I am kicking around:
I was looking at Mayer over Stepanek at +228 about 10 mins ago thinking it was a good play and I looked back at it again right now and Stepanek has moved down to -227 already so it seems people are jumping on the Mayer line. Not sure what will happen between now and tomorrow but that play looks like a good one to me. Hope the line doesnt move to much though. Mayer playing some good tennis coming into this tournament so I think he worth a play at these odds.Stepanek is known to have matches where he comes out totally flat and gets steamrolled so I am hoping that happens tomorrow. HOpefully viadasova wears him out tonight and he has nothing left for tomorrow.
James blake -440 over Rochus
I may just throw this play into a parlay. I dont like betting James Blake and whenever I do he totally ****s me over but I have been going through the lines a couple times here and it just jumps out at me every time I see it. 3-1 lifetime vs rochus but that was long long ago so it means **** all. Blake was playing horrible coming in but his first round match was average... not going to say good because he fell asleep halfway into it, but I think he will win. Four sets or so. Like Petrova in this situation. She has been playing shitty tennis coming into this tournament but to be fair she ran into four girls that are playing very well at the moment so that was the reason for her losses. Coin wont put up much of a fight in this match. Shes had some success in challengers but thats not at the same level as a player like Petrova. Wouldnt bet this match straight up but I am going to put it into the parlay
Might look into Cornet at +296 over Zheng. Good value in this line but I dont know if there is such thing as value if a player loses. Cornet has a shot to win but has been very poor the last few months. Still going to think about this play
