    Stacocakes Rogers Cup/Cincy Masters thread
Quick turnaround after some good tennis this week at the Rogers Cup. Pretty concerned about how some of these players that had these marathon matches will fare this week. Del Potro has got to be out of gas and Roddick cant be doing much better.Im looking for a big bounce back this week by Federer to avenge that display of shit that he put on choking away that match to Tsonga. As of right now I havent heard of anyone pulling out of the Cincy masters so it should be some interesting tennis

Federer - Needs to avenge that choke to Tsonga. I see him playing well here and possibly winning

Roddick - Has been on fire lately. Can he keep up this pace forever? He could be potentially playing federer if all goes to plan and we all know that Roddick has a mental block in his head when it comes to Roger. Dont see him winning here

Murray - Playing some of the best tennis out there. Del Potro and Federer on his side of the draw. Expect another strong performance by Andy this week

Del Potro - Out of gas though when you think he is out of it and has nothing left, he surprises and grinds it out. Can definately never count him out

Davydenko - Will win some matches but not a threat to win the whole thing. Any player that states that he doesnt have the game to win a major because he isnt as good as the top players has no chance when it comes to these events. Go play some shit tournament Davy with players like acasuso and you might have a chance to win

Djokovic - No confidence at all. Cant back him at this point to win

Tsonga - Great performance in Montreal but due for a letdown. Nadal is in his quarter so I dont think Tsonga has a chance to win

Nadal - Showed in the Del Potro match that he is still a bit rusty. Was hard to watch him get beat down by Del Potro. Has the potential to play monfils/karlovic, Tsonga, Gonzalez,Djokovic,Davydenko, Haas....he can beat all of those players even not in perfect form.Nadal is a good wildcard for this tourney though deep down I dont think he wins

    Mondays Matches :

    Wawrinka -131 over Ferrer

Everyone and there ****ing dog will be on Wawrinka here and that kinda scares me yes. 3-2 ferrer head to head against Wawa but as we all know Ferrer had to retire in the match against Nadal and his injury concerns me here. Was surprised to even see him in the field this week.Wawrinka playing some good tennis but he ran into Fed in Montreal so we all know what happened there. Small odds on Wawa so I am going to make a bet on him. Just hope Ferrer finishes the first set before he retires, if he does. Ferrers game is similar to nadals in that he relies on his returning ability and speed around the court and if his knee isnt there, then he is pretty much ****ed.

Thats going to be my only play opening day.Have to start out a little slower in these tournaments because in the montreal one I got my ass ****ed the first three days then came back strong at the end of the week so will try to pace myself. A couple other plays I liked but the price was a bit to much.

Rogers Cup ladies get underway on Monday. Will be some good stuff.Ive looked over the board for Mondays matches and nothing worthwhile is really jumping out at me. I have however looked through whats available in the outrights and here is what I am liking:

    Serena Williams +460

Serenas potential path to the finals is as follows : Hantuchova, Bartoli,Wozniacki/Ivanovic,Kuznetsova/Dementieva. Out of these players, I could possibly see the only problems coming from Kuznetsova or Dementieva. They will likely play eachother in that other quarter of the bracket so the winner of that would play Serena. Serena is 6-5 vs Dementieva and 5-2 vs Kuznetsova. Ill take my chances though with a decent price of +460 for the outright for Serena.

Who do I think she will play? Who else but her sister

    Venus Williams +410

Venus's road will be a bit tougher then Serenas...... im just kidding. All she will face are Radwanska and Zvonreva/Sharapova. Sharapova is 5-3 vs Zvonreva in there careers. Sharapova is coming into this tournament playing better then Vera though. Venus is 5-3 against Sharapova in her career, and that includes beating sharapova easily a couple weeks ago in STandford 62 62. In the semis venus would be playing either Jankovic,Safina or a wildcard of Clijsters who has been playing great since her return. Venus is 3-1 vs Safina, 6-4 vs Clijsters and 5-5 vs Jankovic but has won the last two vs Jelena. If I was to guess which of the three she would be playing I would lean towards Safina and we know how she does in the final matches.......s h i t. Venus lets ****ing do this

Venus and Serena final this year at the Rogers cup. Would be mighty fine.Best of luck everyone

And exactly as I thought, Del Potro has withdrawn from the Cincy Masters. Not a big surprise.Looks like everyone else is in though

For those that backed Wawa last night at -131 his odds are currently -176 which is some huge line movement overnight. Of course this is due to Ferrer being injured. So now those that backed him last night have the option to let it ride or bet some Ferrer and guarantee some profit on both.

I'll be surprised if Ferrer doesn't retire. Ferrer apparently has said the knee issue flared up before Wimbledon. Quoted as saying it isn't "serious" - but something that doesn't go away for a couple months sounds like it won't be considerably improved in a week. Maybe he'll gut it out, but if he wants to play in the US Open, I'd be surprised if he doesn't just pull out if it doesn't feel good and actually take off a couple weeks maybe. Wawrinka is definitely a good play, although the price has drifted way too much now. I decided to steer clear just because I don't think the match will be completed. Hope it does though for you Wawrinka backers. Good luck this week Staco!

Mauresmo lost the first set but won the second. She totally seems like the better player at this point of the match.I think she will go on to win the third set.Can get her around -145 or so to win. Ive already placed the bet.

Best of luck this week Eagles

Well wawa is shitting the bed against an 'injured' Ferrer.
Mauresmo about to go down 4-0 probably in the third set. Another poor start to a week geez

Man I wonder how much money people are gonna lose on that Wawrinka match if he doesn't come back. Seems like half the world was on him.

wawrinka is playing very bad as well.I am watching this match

I dont know how Mauresmo just lost it in her match. She was playing so well in the second set and looked like she had turned the corner and then boom gets totally destroyed.Womens tennis should never surprise anyone

                  and gsm schiavonne. Thanks Mauresmo.

That's alright, I sat and thought all morning about taking Ferrero or Chardy. Loved Chardy over Robredo, but decided on Ferrero instead. So of course we know who is losing and who is winning now.

Yeah I know it bro. Sucks because today was my cash out day at my book and I gave them some back before I took what I earned in the last 6 weeks. Still more than tripled my inital investment, so I'm not gonna cry about it! Kept my original roll amount in to try and work some more winnings! Started by taking Garrigues over Schnyder at +165. Closer Schnyder gets to -200, the more apt she is to choke I think. Hoping perhaps that will be the case! That's my last one for today. Will wait to see prices for tomorrow and hope to get back in tune with some winners!

Glad to see that you are making some nice money Eagles. **** the books

Ive gotta make another play today. I saw the Petrova line last night and it was about +280 and I was thinking that she is 2-7 career vs sharapova but Maria has been known to have some pretty shitty matches especially recently. Yes she did kill Petrova 6-2 6-2 a couple weeks ago and I am aware of that. The match is happening tonight and I have been thinking about maybe putting a bit on Petrova for over a day now and I look and boom she is at +350. People hitting Sharapova hard. Womens ranking mean **** all really but if you can get the number 10 ranked player in any sports at +350 you gotta put a little sprinkle on it. Maria at close to -400 is a total no play.Im not guaranteeing a winner here or anything but I am going to put a bit of money on the +350 to see if I can salvage my day. I remember there match at the French Open and Petrova should have won that match but the match was a continual choke job on her part because Maria was playing horrible. Petrova should have won that match and she has a decent chance to win here tonight. Tough first round opponent for Maria.

Best of luck tonight guys. Im going to sit back and hope Nadia makes my day. Tomorrows plays later on in the night

Should have listened eagles. Petrova was her usual shit self. Oh well. Was swinging for the fences and it didnt hit. Will get it back.

Not sure what you guys think but I was looking at tomorrows card and there is **** all in mens and womens worth betting. Alot of these matches could be decided by three or four shots and the odds totally dictate that. Can bet one those matches if you want but I dont know about you guys but whenever I bet on something that is 50/50 I always come out on the losing end.

Soderling/Hewitt - Both players are injured coming into this match. To hard to predict who will win. The more fit player will surely but who knows who that is.

Verdasco/Garcia-lopez - Verdasco wins but odds of -950 are a total no play

Hanescu/Youzhny - Was leaning Hanescu but cant pull the trigger. Youz beat me twice last week in Montreal so I am gun shy betting against him.

Lopez/Melzer - Was leaning Lopez but this is another 50/50 shot

Blake/Kunitsyn - Blake has been piss poor the last year and I am done betting on his matches.-395 price on him is ridiculous. Kunitsyn is shit though and I am not going to waste my money betting either of these stiffs

Isner/Haas - Injury concerns for Haas. He had to retire last week in Montreal. Has a blister right on his hand between the thumb and first finger on his serving hand. Not sure if that will have any affect on his game.Regardless, its a no play

Kohl/Guccione - Kohl cake walk but -240 I will pass. Plus Kohl shit the ****ing bed in MOntreal so I am gun shy betting him at over -200

                              Bolelli/Petz - Toss up

Berdych/Gonzalez - Like gonzalez in this match but -185 isnt worth it. Berdych has the game to beat anybody but the problem is that he only shows up once every five matches so its difficult to bet for or against him

Hernych/ Seppi - Like Seppi here but cant bet him

                              Ladies

Wozniak/Kleybanova - Was leaning Woz but cant pull the trigger. She will have home court on her side. Kleybanova is 2-0 lifetime vs woz so that is enough to make someone back away from betting -163 on Woz

Errani/Cibulkova - Have been thinking about this match for two days.I want to bet Cibulkova so bad but she has lost 4 matches in a row coming into this tournament.Cant be trusted. No play

Azarenka/Peng - Azarenka wins this but -630 is to hefty

Baltacha/Clijsters - Kim will win but -1800 hahah. No ****ing way in hell I would bet any woman tennis player at that...not even if the match was in play and the player was up 2 breaks and 1 set to love.....ok maybe at that point but I would still have to think about it. Horrible line cmon now

Razzano/Makarova - Razzano is definately the play here but she is coming into this tournament on a three match losing streak so betting her at close to -200 is a no play

Kirilenko/Pennetta - Flavia is on fire coming into this. Maria is hot and I love her but she cant play tennis well. Maria is 2-1 career head to head though. No play on this odds of -282 on pennetta are ridiculous.I have seen her tank so bad before and she cant be trusted with a big price

Peer/Niculescu - Oh god dont even get me started with this match

Vesnina/Zheng - Like Zheng in this match and she will probably win but the -180 odds are a bit to much for my liking. Both players coming in on two match losing streaks

safarova/Kanepi - Kanepi 8 match losing streak coming into this.Brutal. One of the matches was against safarova in straight sets to. Lucie looks like the play but im not going to lay the price

Rybarikova/Ivanovic - Love Ivanovic here. -308 oh god just cant do it. I know its going to win but its just one of those bets that will always win if you dont make the bet but the time you decide to suck it up and bet the -308 she comes out and plays like shit and you lose and look like an idiot.Ill pass

Kudryavtseva/Coin - I like Kudryavtseva in this match and she is 1-0 head to head with Coin. Going to pass on it though

Shvedova/Hantuchova - Hantuchova has some injury concerns and she likes to blow matches that she should win easily. -245 favorite for Hantuchova makes one wonder about taking Shvedova........hmmmmm..... match is second on the court I believe so I am going to consider taking Shvedova here. I am thinking that she can take at least one set in this match and the +223 odds could present a good trading oppurotunity......

As of right now no plays for tomorrow. Will wait and see what you guys like before I make any decisions. Gun shy right now and need to pick a winner and not force anything like I did on the Petrova and Mauresmo plays. Dont even ****ing get me started with Wawrinka today. He buried alot of people with that piss poor performance.

Ana wakes up and breaks back.Is now up 3-2 in the second set and Rybarikovas odds are -140. I backed out and guranteed some profit on both. Not going to let the +350 ride. Just hoping that Ana comes back and wins this now because I can win more with her

oh jumping ship though livebetting is cursed for me......i had gonzalez against raonic last week and switched sides thru livebetting and u know what happened, then i picked spain and they were trailing 2-0 against macedonia so again i switched sides and spain ended up 3-2 winners

Ok since I have some money to play with now I am going to make the Cibulkova bet that I was talking about earlier. Its been jumping out at me for a couple days now so I am going to put some money on it. She was originally -140 ish a couple days ago but her odds have come down to a nicer -122.Of course line movement away from the bet that you want isnt always the best but I think it is a decent play.

I mentioned that Hantuchova could possibly lose at -245 and it seems that lots of people are thinking the same as me.In about 6 hours the line has dropped from -245 to -204. Shvedovas odds of +187 are no longer worth it.

Ok that is good for now. Only play added was Cibulkova at -122

                                                Best of luck today guys

And I was thinking about the post of dennisback regarding Roger Federer.Roger is so heavily favored today I am guessing that he was talking about Roger winning the tournament. The odds for Roger to win are around +260 on Betfair. First round he plays Acasuso who will not cause him any problems. Fourth round he will face either Ferrer or Cilic. Ferrers health is in question, though he ****ing destroyed Wawa so he looks fine to me, and Cilic is weak mentally. Both shouldnt cause Federer any problems in the third round. Once he wins he will be facing either Soderling/Hewitt, Roddick/Querrey. Soderling and Hewitt both have injury concerns which is not good because they would both have to be at 100% to have a chance to beat Federer. Querrey probably wont make it to Federer but if he did then he has no chance. Roddick has a mental block when it comes to beating Federer so he shouldnt cause any problems. Now this is where it gets interesting. Looks like he would be playing Murray or possibly Verdasco at this point. Verdasco has no chance but Murray as you know has federers number. Beating Murray would be a toss up at that point and if he did beat Murray he would likely play either Davydenko, Djokovic, Tsonga or Nadal. Possible to beat Tsonga and Davydenko fairly easily but Djokovic or Nadal anything can happen. With all of that said, does all of this amount to odds of +260 to win for Roger? I believe the odds should be higher then Federer for this because when it gets to the later rounds the matches could go either way especially with Rogers mind not 100% on tennis at this moment. I would say its a no play for me. Nadal at +600 or DJokovic at +1100 have alot more value. IF you look at Nadals draw he doesnt really have much ahead of him, though his health is a concern still yes. Seppi, Karlovic, Gonzalez/Tsonga, Djokovic/Davydenko.....I think Nadal and Djokovic both have a very good chance to get to the final and to have them at +600 and +1100 respectively sounds like some good value to me. **** it I have talked myself into taking it. Both dont have much standing in there way. Djokovic has Ljubicic,haas,simon/davydenko. Geez

Added plays : Nadal +600 and Djokovic +1100

Fugly I have been in your position before.A couple years ago I would bet about 500 bucks or so to win 100 or 200 dollars on a match and then some trouble would be brewing so I would try to jump ship to bet on the other player and then my original guy would come back and start to win and I would jump ship again so after a couple points here and there I would find myself losing thousands no matter who wins just to win the 100 or 200 dollars that I was trying to win. Most of the time my original bet would have won to had I just ****ing left it.Im a bit less reckless now when it comes to that. If I have a bet to win 100 bucks through live betting and things are going shit, I will usually just bet 100 bucks on the other player and get some of the money back instead of trying to bet a grand or something to get back my original bet if it lost. Has helped a bit.Sometimes its just best to take the loss as well but it is so hard to do.I hate losing like I am sure most people on here do

By the way, Verdasco at like -900 or whatever the **** he was lost the first set. Wow. If only I had that garcia lopez at +700 something to start then Verdasco could have been bet at -125 now to guarantee some money. ****. Could have saved me. Was hoping Petrova could have done something like that yesterday but of course her odds werent this high and she sucks shit

Ana is back with a break in the third set to lead 1-0. I know I should have left my +350 bet but Ana cant be trusted so its best to lock in a profit when you can, especially when it comes to womens tennis. Ana should win from this point on up 2-0 now but if she did end up losing this match I wouldnt be surprised really.

Ivanovic wins thank god. Needed that. Just need Cibulkova to win and it will be a really good day.

The ivanovic match is a typical match for the Wta and a match that sometimes happens with big favorites in the ATP. Some of these shittier players can catch magic in a bottle, get a break or two and steal the first set. Problem is that they are inconsistant and they need to get that match finished in two sets or else they will find a way to blow the match.Combination of fitness and mental breakdown prevent them from finishing off what they started in the first set. Thats why when the big favorite loses the first but wins the second, the big fav usually goes on to win the third because the underdog has realized there chance to win and then saw it all blow up and then they are done.
