Quick turnaround after some good tennis this week at the Rogers Cup. Pretty concerned about how some of these players that had these marathon matches will fare this week. Del Potro has got to be out of gas and Roddick cant be doing much better.Im looking for a big bounce back this week by Federer to avenge that display of shit that he put on choking away that match to Tsonga. As of right now I havent heard of anyone pulling out of the Cincy masters so it should be some interesting tennis
Federer - Needs to avenge that choke to Tsonga. I see him playing well here and possibly winning
Roddick - Has been on fire lately. Can he keep up this pace forever? He could be potentially playing federer if all goes to plan and we all know that Roddick has a mental block in his head when it comes to Roger. Dont see him winning here
Murray - Playing some of the best tennis out there. Del Potro and Federer on his side of the draw. Expect another strong performance by Andy this week
Del Potro - Out of gas though when you think he is out of it and has nothing left, he surprises and grinds it out. Can definately never count him out
Davydenko - Will win some matches but not a threat to win the whole thing. Any player that states that he doesnt have the game to win a major because he isnt as good as the top players has no chance when it comes to these events. Go play some shit tournament Davy with players like acasuso and you might have a chance to win
Djokovic - No confidence at all. Cant back him at this point to win
Tsonga - Great performance in Montreal but due for a letdown. Nadal is in his quarter so I dont think Tsonga has a chance to win
Nadal - Showed in the Del Potro match that he is still a bit rusty. Was hard to watch him get beat down by Del Potro. Has the potential to play monfils/karlovic, Tsonga, Gonzalez,Djokovic,Davydenko, Haas....he can beat all of those players even not in perfect form.Nadal is a good wildcard for this tourney though deep down I dont think he wins
Mondays Matches :
Wawrinka -131 over Ferrer
Everyone and there ****ing dog will be on Wawrinka here and that kinda scares me yes. 3-2 ferrer head to head against Wawa but as we all know Ferrer had to retire in the match against Nadal and his injury concerns me here. Was surprised to even see him in the field this week.Wawrinka playing some good tennis but he ran into Fed in Montreal so we all know what happened there. Small odds on Wawa so I am going to make a bet on him. Just hope Ferrer finishes the first set before he retires, if he does. Ferrers game is similar to nadals in that he relies on his returning ability and speed around the court and if his knee isnt there, then he is pretty much ****ed.
Thats going to be my only play opening day.Have to start out a little slower in these tournaments because in the montreal one I got my ass ****ed the first three days then came back strong at the end of the week so will try to pace myself. A couple other plays I liked but the price was a bit to much.
