C’mon man did you not see my post after that? I still have really old laptop with Windows XP (yes that old) and horrible internet service, I didn’t realize it failed to send through. I almost didn’t post it bc I assumed this would happen, but I figured those of you that know me well (Conqueror, Jeff Black, etc) from past would understand I was telling the truth!

I am surprised Federer is favorite going into 5th set. Novak was pre-match favorite and seems to be the better player when he wants to. What's the logic behind this line? Is Novak sick?

Anyway what a match, win/lose I’ve already made a ton on this match (mostly live) but stand to make quite a bit more if Federer pulls through!

In the event of ill health or poor form on the part of Djokovic, the Fed can still win a slam that takes place outside of Roland Garos. In fact, the French Open should be relocated to Nadal's sitting room.

Have maintained that all three continue to play because they want to have the most slams, and that's probably going to continue whilst they are still making Semi Finals and Finals. Same reason why Serena Williams keeps playing because she wants the all time record. Except Djokovic, Nadal and Federer are all still active and playing.

Federer being in there and being in a position to stop them is probably why he still plays. He can probably live with Novak getting closer then Nadal, who is only 2 slams away from equalling and 3 away from overtaking but his chances also dramatically drop outside of the French Open. Let's not forget that he stopped Djokovic's 40+ match winning streak in 2011 which Nadal couldn't even do and he had two cracks on clay to do it. So you just sometimes have to hope it's your day like it was for Federer that day.

Winning another 5 slams still seems like a lot for Djokovic but it seems like he hinted at the end of the match that he has no issues playing until he's also in his later 30s if it gives him a shot at overtaking Federer's record, and if he's still competitive. And there are some rumours that John McEnroe claims Novak told him he wants Federer's record of slams and record at time spent at number #1, and will play into his late 30s if that's what it takes.

They certainly look like they still have some music left in them so I guess why not keep playing.

Not only does he have to win 5 more to beat Fed, but he has to win all the next ones (off clay) to prevent Fed from making it 21. So I'm fairly confident about US and AUS. I think he'd like to get to 21 as soon as possible, so he can focus less on tennis (re: his comments on being a husband and father). But he looked seriously off yesterday, it was a difficult extraction! Maybe it was just the slippery grass & lame crowd.

Also, he said he's happy to keep playing for the next five years because he's still passionate about tennis, and that's most important to him. I suspect what he meant was he's getting tired of playing Adult Pong 365 days a year.
