Marin Cilic (-200) = Huge Bet!!! on 06/10/09
Las Vegas must be on crack to set this line only -200 for Marin Cilic to win over a weak opponent, Nicolas Mahut. Cilic gonna take control on this match with his powerful serves and ground strokes on his favorite surface, grass. Nicolas has no chance at all. without any hesitation, I put a huge bet on Cilic to win this matchup. Good luck guys!!!

Becareful on this one, I'm hearing Mahut might win this due to his grass experience. Play with caution.

Thanx Sports for your reminding! That's why I feeling something wrong with this line -200 which is too good to be true for Cilic. I think over and over again...but I have to play Cilic at -200, and if I am losing, that's just another lesson for me to learn.

        From wiki:

At the 2007 Queen's Club Championships, Mahut defeated both fifth-seed Ivan Ljubičić and top-seed Rafael Nadal in straight sets, and on the same day, to reach the semi-finals, where he beat compatriot Arnaud ClĂ©ment. He lost in 3 sets 4–6, 7–6 (7), 7–6 (2) to Andy Roddick in his first ATP final after holding one match-point in the second set tiebreak.

Nadal was Wimbledon finalist in 07 and 2 years ago ljubicic was better too.Plus cilic is only 20 while mahut is experienced.Cilic will probabaly win but dont go too heavy on this one.

Great info, Cuteboy. However, I looked into Mahut's activity this year, and noticed that he did not played as many games as he used to, and he seems going down at this point.

Mahut was hugely impressive against Tipsarevic - looked back to the Mahut of two years ago. He's been rubbish for a while, but it was a total changearound.

Mahut wins 7-6 7-6 and Betfair is listing it as suspended, possibly for suspicious betting patterns.

Anytime bets come in decidedly on the underdog there and Betfair stands to lose [x], does that seem to occur?

Yeah, I'm guessing they freeze it until they can "investigate" further.

Doubt it's anything like that tbh. Betfair basically gave up doing anything about dodgy tennis betting a while back. They and others collected a pile of evidence and passed it to the ATP, who basically swept it under the carpet. Since then there's not much point really, they're only asking to be sued if they do anything (by players and punters alike).

Saw this match btw - Cilic was good but he's terrible in tiebreaks, which is a bit of a key failing here. When you can't return well and you're on a very fast court (imo only Basel is faster on the tour), there will be a hell of a lot of tiebreaks, and Queens is playing especially fast this year, almost 30% of all sets so far are going to TBs.

Why would they care? Betfair doesn't loose if somebody wins a bet, they win whatever happens, they arn't paying out there own money, its people betting and laying against each other.

Its one of the easiest places to get away with that kind of stuff, they take a cut of the commission anyway.
