People look too much at this "home" angle. His record @ Rome is nothing special. Just because someone is on home soil, we should not assume their will to win or their actual chances of a win are any better.

Fogs can certainly destroy Rosol at his best, but he's so mercurial and inconsistent that I'll take the shot on Rosol who is a shade underrated on clay. He's got the chops to compete.

EP, How the hell does busta lose this match? Karlovic looks like a giraffe on ice on this surface. Carreno's coach must be ready to throw himself off a cliff

Well I was looking back and the one thing I had not seen him face was a power serve. That's the only reason I considered Karlovic, but again it was hard to say yes given his clay record the past couple of years and who he has lost to.

Ribs was also on my list, but Lorenzi drilled him in Sao Paulo. And neither looked good lately, but Riba was in that qualifier angle I dolike. Sat it out in the end.

Same reasoning on Mahut-Youzhny. Youzhny has been his usual awful 1st half self, but could not find enough to justify Mahut on the surface. Although given how those two above ended, maybe that's reason enough

Watching the Fog match, he is playing like 20 feet behind the baseline & is almost waiting for Rosol to blow up on his own. Fog is getting trashed out there, from what I am seeing..

Mid second set, Fog has 7 winners & 25 or more errors, he isn't going for anything, running like a dog & looking like he doesn't care, like usual...
