There's just not much reason to warrant taking him at the price the books still associate with him, especially against guys who can beat him on any given day.

I'm real interested to see how Fed approaches next season. I think he's going to make the racket switch in the off-season. That's when he should have done it if he was going to do it. I think he threw himself off more switching to the bigger racket and then going back because he wasn't comfortable.

I will say, the indoor swing is going to be interesting for him though - I have a weird feeling he might do some damage in Basel & the Tour Finals are a bit of a crapshoot. Of course that's dependent on the draws.

Ya, I hope he makes the required changes that are needed to compete. You know these losses hurt his pride. Would be interesting to see how he does in London. I think there's a lot on Federer's mind. He's just missing his shots that he always makes.

Yeah that was a good call on Monfils, that match was so close, Federer had his chances to break but could never convert, seemingly had many winners missed or hit right back questionably - to Monfils. It did look he was questioning his racket and decisions at times, as Matt says his confidence started to look shot.

Man, last night was a good night for Dogs: Mercer, Monfils, Wawrinka, I feel I'm missing someone else..

Always gotta be careful on these 250 weeks, especially if you're a chalk eater. About every time this year when there are multiple 250s in the same week, at least one ends up with an unexpected winner + a handful of upsets.

I'd like to see your record excluding 1st round of a tournament. Since I've been watching you since July I know you have done extremely well ex 1st round

i would imagine that some dudes that would normally pull it out for you in later rounds against same opponent might have had a crappy flight got in late to their hotel whatever that might take away their edge for the 1st match
