First-up matches for big favorites who have had a long layoff are usually that way. Especially when you're adjusting to a new climate, especially altitude. I've actually thought about taking Karlovic on futures in this portion of the draw instead. Anderson just a little short for me after thinking about it. Will wait on the top half too. Want to see Tipsarevic first.

Should say that when I do my outlines for the tournaments, for these non-Slams I do not invest until I see a player play at least one match. I'm an idiot, but I'm not a moron. My logic on these two for anyone who cares is that to me, these two represent the two likeliest chances at getting a Finalist on one side of the draw. My expectation is the two could/should be meeting in the semis for a trip to the Finals. For me, worth the +1.00 deduction from either future if one of them gets there.
