Ferrer looks like "a lock", as long as he can manage Malisse.

Ironically his 1:st round encounter has me the most worried...

Paire might make the finals, but I don't think he'd stand a chance against the consistency and relentlessness of Ferrer.

The more I'm looking at the draw the more convinced I become nobody will be able to beat Ferrer apart from Malisse in the opening round, unless Isner plays the match of his life...

On second thought "the new" Wawrinka could pose a threat if he's able to adapt his game to grass far more successfully than he has in the past. I certainly wouldn't give him a good chance against Ferrer here though.

Yep, but Malisse really choked against an out of form Del Potro - Ferrer grinds much better than Delpo can ever hope for, so I think he forces a guy like Malisse to raise his level. I don't think Malisse has the level to go to in order to beat Ferrer, unless Ferrer is out of sorts. Always possible, but Ferrer has looked like himself again in the last six weeks or so.

I love being able to get a guy at a tournament he has dominated at plus money because you will get + odds on his opponents all the way through, insuring that you should be able to make some money so long as he shows up ready to roll in his first match and wins there.

I agree (although Po'Mo can certainly grind shit down when he's on unlike at Queen's), but it's the combination of Malisse with his sudden performance explosion and Ferrer's first grass match that has me worried. I'm gonna wait until after Ferrer's opener to pound him outright @ +money. Right now I can do @ 2.5 (+150 crazy American odds) but I'm too scared.

shorter guys can be good on grass because they dont mind taking the ball so low. conversely, this is why isner tends to underperform on grass relative to his serving ability.

Yeah I had him +4.5 as a play, but was trying to not over-do the # of plays. Seems to be the way it goes when I do this.
